    friday bases

    Favorites (50-51)(-12.84)
    Underdogs (36-43)(+0.86)
    Runlines (6-7)(-0.30)
    Totals (15-8)(+6.07)
    Parlays (13-18)(-1.76)

    Overall (120-127)(-7.97)

I have not bet since last Thursday. Took interleague weekend off, worked all day Monday and had things to do after work. I meant to play some on Tuesday, but it was the wifes birthday and I took her out. I had an out of town doctors appointment on Thursday and left Wednesday night after work, so I did not play anything on Wednesday either. Got back late on Thursday and not much to choose from. Finally get to play something on Friday.

Cubs -106 vs Dodgers……………There is a reason the “never play up to their potential” Cubs are favored over the redhot Dodgers with Billingsley on the mound. Dodgers are a suckers bet today.

Phillies -1.5 (+120) vs Washington…………..Not afraid of the runline here and don’t want to lay the heavy juice with the moneyline. The Phillies are like a kitten, they are either on or off. The Nats have cured many of the Phillies woes this year and I think that continues tonight. I really like this Happ kid pitching for them as well. With the way the starters have been pitching, Happ might just move into the starting rotation with a few good efforts.

Pittsburgh -123 vs Houston…………Anytime the Bucs are favorites, there must be a good reason. Offhand most people think the pirates suck, but they are respectable at home and guess what? If you look at the standings the Stros are trailing the Pirates. Houston has lost seven straight games too. These are the types of games the pirates can win and hopefully they will.

Florida +156 vs Mets………..Mets playing well and have taken over first place, but they don’t seem to play as well when they are leading the division. They must think it is September. Marlins always win when you least expect it. The fish beat Pelfrey four times last season, so they must see the ball well vs him and certainly have a shot at winning. Definitely worth it at these odds.

Detroit +111 vs Baltimore…………I am just not a big Baltimore fan at all. Tigers can hit the ball and maybe, just maybe Willis is back like he used to be, at least it looked like it after his last start. Hopefully if he is not at his best, the tigers can outscore the O’s, but again this is certainly worth a play as a dog.

I hate to do this, but I have to take Saturday off as well. I am working all day and then going to my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary party we are throwing for them Saturday night. Back on Sunday.

    Good Luck Everybody!!
