    tuesday bases

    Favorites (0-1)(-1.30)
    Underdogs (0-0)(even)
    Parlays (1-1)(+0.67)

    For The Season (1-2)(-0.63)

Played two parlays last night and split them winning 0.67 units. Not much but I will take a winning night after starting out with a loser on the Phillies Sunday night. Could kick myself as I had the Pirates and just about to hit the confirm button on my wager and chickened out and cancelled that bet. Oh well, here are Tuesday’s hopefuls.

Atlanta -101 vs Phillies……………..As much as it pains me to do so, I have to go with Atlanta even though they already won game one of this series. Most of the time I would be all over the Phillies at home as such a small favorite. Jamie Moyer is getting older and Atlanta is not one of his favorite teams to pitch against. On the other side, Braves pitcher Jurrjens pitched very well at Philly last year. Phils bats just looked too cold for me to think they are going to bust lose tonight. I think they will need to score a bunch as Moyer may give up a bunch tonight. I will be depressed as my Phillies start out 0-2, but I guess my wallet might be a little happier.

Florida -148 vs Washington………….Everybody when talking about the NL East talks about the Phillies and the Mets. I really think you have to include Atlanta and Florida in that group as well. I think the Nats will be a much better team compared to last year, but they are still a solid notch below everybody else in that division. I love this young Marlins pitching staff. Johnson should throw a decent game and the Fish will score at least 5 runs tonight for another easy win.

Minnesota -105 vs Seattle…………….Twins have always been a solid home team, while the past few years Seattle has really struggled on the road and has been down in general. With Seattle winning last night, look for the Twins to bounce back strong tonight. Great value only laying 105. I love it.

Pittsburgh +144 vs St Louis…………Watch and see if I am not a day late on these Bucs. I was going to take them last night and chickened out. I think these Pirates are going to come close to playing 500 ball or better this year. Snell is capable when he is on of throwing a gem. I have to take a shot with him at these odds.

Dodgers -116 vs San Diego……………I am thinking these Padres are going to be a good fade all season long. There is just something wrong with this team. If they cannot win with Peavy on the hill, there chances are not very good with anybody else. Hopefully Manny does some damage tonight. Nice odds with Manny and company vs a team is disarray.

Detroit +101 vs Toronto…………I like this one because Toronto looks too easy to me at home as such a small favorite. This should be another high scoring game and I think the Tigers out score them tonight.

Last night I like all big favorites and played two moneyline parlays. Tonight everything falls into my -150 or less favorite rule and it is hard to go too wrong with underdogs in baseball. Went a little crazy playing so many games, but might as well jump right in and get to know these teams this year.

Working my night Wednesday night, so I will be back Wednesday morning with all my plays.

    Good Luck Everybody!!

Hope you are right about all that :beerbang:

Thought about taking the pirates as well tonight but for some reason it seems like they always come out flat and lose after a big come from behind win like they had yesterday...hopefully since it's a new season this changes
