Here's what I rounded up tonight for the early Sunday games. Oh yeah, Hoppy Easter.
METS (-140) = *4.2 Units ~ POD Pick
Listed: O. Hernandez vs. K. Davies
- Man am I loving this pick. Kyle Davies shouldn't even be in the rotation. The Mets have been tearing the cover off the ball. El Dueque tossed 2 starts last year at Turner Field and didn't give up 1 ER. The Mets are stroking Davies to a tune of .301 while the Braves are stugglin at .138 versus Hernandez. With a Mets pen that has yet to give up a single run this year, I can't decide if this is all just too good to be true.
ORIOLES (+140) = *2 Units
Listed: E. Bedard vs. D. Rasner
- Bedard was one of the hottest pitchers in Spring Training, and finished strong last year. I expect him to get things back on track with a Baltimore team that has played the Yanks hard two days in a row. Don't see a blow job by the bullpen two days in a row. Hideki & Damon out only makes that easier.
INDIANS [Gm. 1] -1½ (+125) = *2 Units
Listed: J. Weaver vs. CC Sabathia
- After getting shafted last night, I'm going to expect the Indians to come out and win at least one game this weekend. They're swining the bats well while they got a stud on the mound. If Seattle couldn't touch Paul Byrd, I don't know how they're going to get a piece of Sabathia. I see some solid value here.
TIGERS (-170) = *3.4 Units
Listed: J. Bonderman vs. B. Duckworth
- I just have to bite on this one. The Royals should not be competitive in this game. I hate Duckworth, and not just cause of his last name. He's been a dud his whole career, if the Tigers play anything like the did last April, they put this game away.
:chaching:wisher :chaching:weet Play
>>>A's/ANGELS (Under 8.5) = *2.1 Units (-105)
Listed: J. Blanton vs. E. Santana
- Blanton is 0-6 against the Angels, but has held them to a .244 average. Escobar is pretty money at home, and I expect to see another close fight like last night. Something in the 4-3 range I feel would be sufficient. A's take the lead in the 8th.
BLUE JAYS (-155) = *2 Units
Listed: R. Halladay vs. S. Kazmir
- Well it is a holiday. Just makes sense.
May make some more plays tomorrow after I get my ass up. That's all for now.
