I would find a backup at 3B because Melvin Mora will be on the DL this year IMO.

Adam Dunn sucks...can't stand the guy UNLESS you are in a pure stats league then nice pick up....if it's H2H good luck. Byrnes is iffy. Vlad coming off knee surgery and his numbers have been declining every season. JD Drew is a walking injury. Church we'll see if he can rake like he was before the concussions last year.

I like your infield a lot, im not really a big fan of your outfield honestly. Starting staff lacks a lot of big names but i actually like it for the most part. Wins might be tough to come by as Halladay and Felix are going to be playing on 2 of the poorer teams in the AL and run support may be an issue. Not a Bedard fan at all. Top 4 are solid, though, provided Harden can stay healthy. Jenks and Lowe are kind of wildcards, IMO, but have a better than not chance of being successful IMO.

Pretty good team. Not sure what is out there on the WW so kind of hard to tell you who to pick up honestly.

        Ya thanks for the insight

its a 12 team league so ww is very thin not much left at the moment

church and jd drew were my last two picks of the draft...
i took them as my wild cards church was killin for me last year until he got knocked the f out.... than he was worthless

i figured wins were gonna be trouble but i figure if i can get a good offensive start than i can trade 2 for 1 get another top pitcher, my hopes are that ryan church bounces back this year, than i know i can swing maglio in this league alot of tiger fans there...

i love Ibañez gonna be batting 6 in philli's lineup and hitters ball park he is a lefty and the guy was doing 20+ hrs and 100+ rbis in safeco, he should do real good, plus i grabbed him in the 16th round

its pure stats league not head to head i got adam just for power

This is gonna sound kinda harsh, so sorry in advance, but I think your team is pretty bad. You have only one closer (and his arm seems like it's about to fall off), and you have a bunch of pitchers who are always hurt it seems (Harden, Felix always knicked up). For a mixed league, you're offense is no great shakes either. I went through the offense and thought, "Wow, he must have some dominant pitching", but you don't.

I don't know... It's all just opinion, I don't know any more than you on how they'll do.

Also, there's really absolutely no need for a back-up catcher in any fantasy baseball league. Even if you can make daily transactions, you're better off using a position player than a catcher.

its a 2 catcher league he not a back up....

ya but my roster in 2007 would be ridiculous. now i know this is 2009 but i expect most of the players i gambled on to come back to form... i have alot of players who were injuried last year and i know but i took a gamble in hopes it pays off

halladay was #1 overall pitcher last year.. 20 wins

harden should have had more wins then he did last year he got raped by cubs relief pitchers and he is back to form IMO

felix is strike out master and i got him for that reason and his k/bb

lowe is a ground ball pitcher and did well in a big park in la wouldnt that make him a better pitcher in a smaller park? i mean less openings to hit it into

bedard is a 50/50 gamble if he plays like 2007 with baltimore than he will add stats nicely
if not i can always get another

jenks was best available when i got around to it, closers get injured and replaced more than starters, u can always find them during the season,

arredondo this guy i believe will soon be the closer for the angels the current closer will lose his job to this guy imo and soon too

Lyon he is my 2nd closer and he should have alot of save opp's being on a good tigers team.. i like tigers this year to do pretty good, cant see how they struggle so much with that lineup they got, they should be better...

but anyways thanks for reply its all a matter of opinions and i respect them all

I'd drop brandon lyon and pickup Rodney as he's det's closer.

STL just named a new closer as well, which may be on your free agent wire.

I'd get rid of teagarden too, as saltamachia or however you spell his name is likely to get the most at bats at C on that team. Is pudge rodriquez available? He's the starter in Houston. Will probably have good stats playing in the juice box.

There's probably better OF's on your free agent wire than eric byrnes too. I think he's Arizona's fourth outfielder.

Hardcore sleepers to consider for this year:

              P Paul Maholm Pittsburgh
P Tommy Hanson Atlanta (he's starting the year in minors but will be up soon and domiante)
              P Eric Volstad Florida
              P Reyes Cleveland

1B Mike Jacobs KC huge power.
1B Hank Blalock getting no respect in drafts/magazines and could be comeback player of the year.
1B Paul Konerko getting no respect. Guy had a bad year, so what. He's a solid hitter.
3B Edwin Encarnacion will probably hit 30 dongs
OF but will quality at 2b soon Mark Teahan KC
OF Elijah Dukes dont laugh, could be 30/30 guy if he keeps his head in the game.
OF Andre Eithier: COULD HIT .330 batting in front of Manny. This guy was RED hot last year once Manny came to LA.

I like that you took Bedard. Many are down on him. I think he comes back and kicks ass this year.

It's a two-catcher league ... and you got Navarro and Teagarden?

Ouch dude. You need to address that weakness sooner than later. You may have to trade for it too.

Otherwise I like your starting staff. As mentioned by Kevin, Lyon can't win the closer's job in Detroit either, so you will need to get another arm or two in the pen.

                Good luck.

Thanks guys, on the replys ...

i have already grabbed a 3rd catcher anyways but as for tea garden the guy from what im hearing is gonna be their dh so if he is i def keepin him cause the guy can hit from what i have seen..

kevin thanks for list of pitcher sleepers, dude i so agree with the atlanta guy, im a big braves fan and i have my eye on all braves always.

mike jacobs is a guy i might consider just wanna see how some of these guys i got start out cause eric byrnes in 2007 hit 21 bombs 103 runs 86 rbi's and 50 stolen bases...

if he comes back from injury this year good i will keep him just for the 50 sb's

Call me crazy, but a guy I think that will have a nice year this season is seth mcclung of the brewers. Either he will crack into about the 3 slot of that fragile and journeyman filled brewers rotation, or he'll end up the closer.

In mid relief, which is where it seems he'll start the season, he probably offers little or no value in most leagues, but imo he's a guy to watch this year.

Lots of ability with a real nice fastball, who seemed to finally be getting it towards the end of last season, after some real miserable seasons in TB early in his career.

Might be a nice guy to make a wager or three on too, should he get a spot start here and there or crack the rotation, since he shouldn't draw any big fave numbers, and he should have a pretty solid brewers team behind him, should that opportunity arise.
