Kazmir throws a lot of picthes and generally the bullpen comes in early to his games.
They wanted to have full use of the bullpen with the off day before game 6.....if they need game 6. That way IF they get to game 6 the pen had a day off....instead of having a tired pen in Game 7 IF needed.
However
TB is seeing the ball way to well right now to be fooled by Dice-K for the second straight time. I think TB will score plenty enough to win. Kazmir will keep the BOS bats quite enough to turn like a 5-2 lead over to the pen and TB eventually wins it 6-3 or something like that. JMO.

That whole theory does not exactly show the killer instinct. Next thing you know, you're down in game 7. (ask NYY). It just proves to me they are happy with 2/3 in Boston, and feel they have the horses, and better situation to win it at home. He's over-thinking things and it is going to bite him tonight, IMO.
JB - What has Kazmir done lately to lead you to believe he is going to hold BOS anywhere near 2 runs thru 6 innings or whenever you're thinking the pen comes in? That seems beyond optimistic to me. I think that to think TB wins tonight, you have to think they rock Matsuzaka, which certainly is possible with the way they've unloaded on Lester and Wakefield the last 2 games, and with the way Dice K walks everyone.
L2 times Kaz faced BOS he got destroyed, including a 9 er thru 3 innings effort at the end of the regular season, and then the debacle in game 2 of this series. In addition, he's been walking everyone in sight, just as bad as Dice K. Something is not right about him ever since he came back from injury.
And i agree with JML here....I think it seems like Maddon is throwing Kazmir to the wolves tonight, thinking "Hey, if he does well we might win and that would be great", but at the same time what he's really saying is "Hey, if we're gonna lose this, I'd rather have my BOS have to beat my best 2 @ home rather than beat one of them on the road"
Bostons hitters just have not hit at home
They did not hit Garza and they did not hit Sonnenstein...
Garza had been awful on the road and he shut Boston down for the most part.
I just think Kazmir brings something to the hill tonight and keeps the Sox bats quiet.
