8-8 (+0.95 units)
Pending series plays, each for 2 units:
Phils -200
LAD +160
LAA -140
For tonight:
Phillies -110
LAD/CHC under 7.5 -110
2 units each
The Brewers are beat, broken, and demoralized. They haven't beaten a decent team in weeks, and they have fallen victim to being swept every time they faced a decent team coming down the stretch of the season. They're a year away....at least.
In addition, CC is done (how many times can a guy pitch on 3 days rest?) and they know it. The rest of their staff is garbage, and they know that too. Why else would they start a guy (Gallardo) in game 1 of a playoff series, who granted, has a ton of potential, but never the less, is coming off a season long injury and only had a few appearances for the whole year?
Philly is the better team, and they go for the throat tonight. No way they wanna waste a start by staff ace Hamels to close out these Brewers.
Either MILW will press and try too hard (falls right into the hands of Moyer's style), or they just won't be able to match the intensity of the Phils and won't have a shot....or both.
Either way, get the brooms out. I've said it for the last 2 months, and I'm saying it again....this MILW team has shown me NOTHING, except that they can beat the Pirates and Reds....well, and they did ok vs St Louis, lol
That's how I see it. Lets see how it plays out....
