    Yaz Hospitalized

BOSTON — Baseball Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski has been hospitalized in Boston for what his spokesman called something "serious."

I sure hope he pulls through. He is surely a hero to MANY.

favorite AL player growing up..........grew up a huge Yaz fan. I remember one year back in like 1977 his baseball card accidentally got either double or triple printed.....ended up with like 12 Yaz AS cards.....:beerbang:.....wouldn't trade any of them...lol....i was a dumb ass...they were worth like .01 apiece and what in the world i needed with 12 of them i'll never know......:bang:.....but you don't trade away anything of your favorite players i guess....even when you have 12 of them....lol

I grew up in Connecticut as a Red Sox fan. I can still give out most of the lineups from the late 60s and early 70s. My first ball game I went to was at Fenway. Number 8 was out there in LF. Crayola should have a color named Fenway Green. Nobody has ever played the Green Monster as well as Yaz.

My favorite player ever...... played entire career with one team...all around great player...defensively, avg and power.

I hope he gets well soon.
