    Manny to the Dodgers

Wow, that is a shocker. No previous word that the Dodgers were even trying to get him. That could sway the NL West to the Dodgers now.

Manny will be Manny in Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Dodgers swooped in at Thursday's trade deadline and acquired one of the greatest sluggers of this generation, acquiring Manny Ramirez from the Red Sox as part of a three-way deal in which Boston acquired outfielder Jason Bay from the Pittsburgh Pirates, sources told CBSSports.com.

In return for Bay, sources say, Pittsburgh will receive right-handed pitcher Craig Hansen and outfielder Brandon Moss from the Red Sox. Also, the Dodgers will send third baseman Andy LaRoche and right-handed pitcher Bryan Morris to the Pirates.

Hansen was Boston's first-round pick in the 2005 draft and Morris was the Dodgers' first-round pick in the 2006 draft.

Each play is to win the # of units posted unless it's a dog then I'm betting that amount.

Smart move for the Sox. Bay is 7 years younger and has huge potential.

I'd never make a bold statement like Bay is better than Manny, but not a bad move for the long run.
