    ~~ BIFF'S BASES - JUL. 21st ~~

To start I think Ponson is getting way too much respect in that Yankees jersey. This is a guy who was released by the Twins last year, and many teams passed on him this year. He was dumped by the Rangers and the Yankees seem to love stock piling washed up veteran players (achem.. Sexson) so I'm taking the value here as Blackburn should come back with a vengance after being knocked down by Abreu in his last visit with the Yanks. Better pen too, I just have to hope they don't clam up on the road. Good Luck.

Sorry Jack, these early plays are tough because I don't get done with work until after 3 most days, and my real estate business always gets priority. Getting these games capped, breaking down the lineups, and getting the bets in with both my tracking service and calling my book, I'm left with very little free time. It's a tough gig being a west coast capper. I post the play minutes after I make them. So don't think I'm holding out til late on purpose, I have no problem giving out my plays, but like I've said before my goal posting here isn't to give out free winners. I'm here trying to offer a model for consistency that others can adapt at their own choosing. Good Luck tonight!

Well I do wait until I can see the lineups. Vary rarely do I not care about that, because knowing who can come off the bench late in the game and who's up against the starter is key info for me. Next up, I'm on the Under in the Royals game. I got this number at my online book, because anything under the double digits in this game is a good bet in my opinion. Both Guillens are back; the KC version coming from back spasms and he has been getting heated in that clubhouse. None of the young bloods there seem respect him or the contract his bat had gotten him. Possible negative impact. Tigers pen has also gotten much stronger with Zumaya, and Rodney who's been lights out in his past two appearances. Slight gamble on Miner, but I don't think Jim will let him get burnt too bad in his first start of the year. I'm still a fan of 1st round pick Hochevar, I saw him at Oakland, and he was lights out in his debut for 3+ innings before he got knocked around. He's going to be a part of that KC rotation for awile. Good Luck.

Good thing Gardy got Blackburn out, but I'm not so sure I like Boof out their either. Hopefully get can eat up some innings. Blackburn was just getting more and more frustrated with the close missed outs that could have saved 3-4 runs. He started leaving them up, he needed to go.

Last one for me tonight. It's been a rough going with the Twins and Royals so far. So many missed plays that lead to HUGE innings early in the game. Putting some confidence in a veteran tonight who should have a field day against a free-swinging lineup. I did well with Lee yesterday, so I'm trying another pitcher of similar calibur with Harden. I lost this bet before with him, but given the offensive boost he's got now with the Cubs bats, I like it at even money. If I take a beating tonight, I'll be backing down from making a 3rd play tomorrow. No sense in ruining something that started out good, although I know Bud Black can't say the same about his team.

Knocked Randy all over the park, a few shots to the warning track, but nothing dropped as Rich Harden was nearly perfect. The Tigers hit the **** out of the ball and blew my over, well actually the 11th run came in on a wild pitch. What the hell is happening lately? My luck has been so bad since the all-star break that I have to keep reminding myself not to get upset. The first remedy might be to just lay off these damned road underdogs... or it might just be time to take a day off. There's no sense in betting when you are frustrated, you'll always lose. I definitely won't be making more than 1-2 plays tomorrow If I do decide to have action. Hope everyone else did better tonight.
