    ~~ BIFF'S BASES - JUL. 2nd ~~

After a day off, I'm out of the box with one play tonight. First off it is ridiculous that these two starters are 2-20 on the O/U combined this year. Even if they are pitching well, these are two very powerful offenses that could cover the number themselves on any given night. Tonight I like there to be 20+ hits as it is a warm Atlanta night in a park that both teams are familiar with. Braves have had good success against Eaton, Campillo even got a hit of him when these two faced off. Speaking of, Campillo started off hot, only giving up 1 ER on 9 hits in his first 15 innings. Since he's given up 15 ER on 32 hits in his last 30 innings pitched. This guy isn't a diamond in the rough. He's a Mexican league pitcher. By no means the most talented market. These two teams are 2-5 on the O/U so far this year, but yet the lines are always 9-10 and that's because the offense can come out any night. I think tonight is one of those nights as Escobar and Jones are in the lineup. Texiera is heating up, and Blanco has been an excellent leadoff man with that speed. Phillies have a solid healthy lineup 1-8, and I like Coste in there tonight. All adds up to a play for me, but I'm not biting on the run hook the books are putting on this game. I'm taking my chances with the hook on the H+R+E instead. Back with at least one more tonight most likely. Good Luck.

Underdog... I think it'll work out for both of us!

Next up, I'm making a play up against Pedro, because I don't think people are ready to give up on him yet, but I am... at least for now. He has pitched the same amount this year as he did last year, but this year he's stats are exponentially worse in every category. To think he'll show up tonight with stuff he's been hiding all year is beyond me. He's had a great career, but just like Randy, he's showing signs of wearing down after surgeries late in his career. Piniero has been a tough luck recipient pitching well (except for his last outing which was his 2nd against a hot KC team in a 10 day span). He's thrown 3 out of 4 QS at home, but yet the Cards have only won 1 of those games. I think the Cards will get a golden opportunity against Martinez tonight, and Pujols back in the lineup makes all the difference. Cards pen got rest last night with B. Thompson tossing 4 inning in relief and should be set to toss it's respective studs. Simply a play on the better team at home. I'm eyeing one more total tonight.

One last play tonight in the Rockies game. Both Wolf and Jimenez can struggle with control which can lead to 4-5 walks, but San Diego has been recently, and all year one of the worst NL teams in drawing walks. That leads me to believe that Jimenez could have some success getting the Pads to chase his 2 seamer which is flat out nasty, but is usually called a ball. Unlike the PHI/ATL matchup, these are two pitchers I think deserve a 5-25 O/U record. Wolf did well in his first start against the Rockies this year... his first against them in over 3 years. That's all for now, I gotta run... Good Luck tonight fellers!

Didn't post it, but put some change on this play as well last second.

Underdog... thank you for the kind words! Glad I could help you out!

I.B... Irish luck still running strong!

Indeed it was a perfect night. Things didn't pan out exactly the way I thought they would, but they were close enough... I had a little bit of luck to care of the rest. I sure hope that luck sticks around because a 22-5 streak since mid-June has made me a very happy man. Just going to take it one day at a time... back tomorrow.
