After fading my Yanks last night, I think this is a good spot to play on them. Yes the cold bats do worry me a touch, but they're facing Milwood who is going on his fifth straight road start. In 8 gs on the road, he's 1-4 with an opp. ba. of .348. 48 ip, 28 er. Arod, Giambi & Abreu all have very solid numbers career wise vs. Milwood. Joba is off a strong outing vs the Pirates, where he scattered 6 hits in 6.2 ip. One thing I really liked is that he only had 1 bb, & now I would think after 114 pitches, the Yanks are confident enough to let him get deep into a game should he be rolling. I would think the bats come out tonight....
TB just makes sense to me- 31-13 home team vs a 19-25 road team, who has a pitcher in Wakefield going for them who's 1-3 in 9 road starts. -120? If it's a sucker bet, then I'm a sucker.... Wake has had control problems (24bb in 55 ip on the road), walking 5 in his last road start. Boston has lost 4 of his last 5 road starts, & TB is the kind of team that will make you pay for putting baserunners on. Garza is coming off a complete game 1 hitter @ Fla, & is a solid home starter (4-1 in 7 gs 2.51 era & 1.21 overall WHIP). Opponents are hitting .219 of him at home.
The Suppan/Big Unit over looks good as well. Suppan 9 gs on the road, 48.2 ip, 31 er, & a .308 opp ba. Opponents are hitting .315 off the Unit @ home, righties are hitting .307! IMO Braun & Hart could give him trouble tonight. In 39 ip at home, he's given up 27 er. I'm hoping for a similar start like last night, tons of runners on & hits.
The Padres play is a combination fade of the Rockies, & backing of Banks. This kid doesn't get the run support he should, but will be a great pitcher in the league IMO. @+148 I have to give him a shot.....
The parlay adds on Harden (who has lost 1 outing all season by more than 1 run) & Houston (who hit LHP very well & are facing the road woeful Dodgers). IMO both win su, may add the A's later on.
