Atlanta -130 ... 1.25 Units
Don't really like that Atl is such an overwhelmingly public fav, but I played them last night still have to back the play. Here are a couple bits of info I read that are part of my reasoning for the play.
Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
Campillo will be pitching against his former team, for which he made eight appearances over the previous three seasons. He spent most of his time with that organization recovering from "Tommy John" elbow ligament transplant surgery. Wait until the Mariners see him now. He has been dominant in six starts since joining the Braves rotation, going 2-1 as a starter with a 2.78 ERA, a .246 opponents' batting average and only four walks in 32 1/3 innings. The Braves won each of his first four starts but have lost the past two against the Phillies and Angels. He allowed only a two-run homer to Casey Kotchman in a career-high eight innings Sunday but lost 2-0 to the Angels.
ESPN:
June 16
News: Campillo gave up two runs over eight innings with seven strikeouts and no walks, but was a hard-luck 2-0 loser Sunday to the Angels. After the start, he said he has no issue with the blister on his right middle finger that bothered him the last four starts. "I feel good, no more blisters, my curveball is back," he told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Spin: Campillo hadn't lasted more than 5.1 innings in any of his last four starts due to the blister problem. It sounds like he's back to full strength after the blister limited the use of his curve ball.
