Two short hame faves for the afternoon...


Tigers -109 (Rogers) vs White Sox
Detroit one of the best hitting teams against lefties, Chicago one of the worst...with two similar southpaws starting, I like the Tigers, who are playing a bit better recently, and have actually been very good at home after the debacle of getting swept in their first two home series to start the year (16-10 since)...

Royals -123 (Bannister) vs Rangers
BB is a much better starter at home this year (4-2, 2.45 ERA at home...1-4, 9.00 ERA on the road!)...and the Rangers have called up a guy from AAA who had an ERA near 6 and a WHIP near 1.6...

GL JML, also on those 2. Did want to pass on this Tex/KC info though.
Tex SP Hurley's AAA #'s aren't great, but I read he recently "made some adjustments" (whatever that is) and over his L4 starts has a 2.66 ERA with 3 QS.
Liked Bannister's home splits also, but from his game log, IMO he's had some nice home mu's compared to some bad road spots - but def still a plus IMO. The other thing that I really liked with him, and made me play it, was that he's been very good during the day going back the last few years.

thanks cavorca...yeah, I had read Hurley had been doing a bit better recently, but it remained that he was probably very hittable facing a mlb lineup...


Phillies -115 (Action) vs Marlins
Anti-sweep play for one of the NL's best lineups....plus Moyer owns the fish, and they do not hit lefties well overall...
