    ~~ BIFF'S 1 PLAY - JUN. 11th ~~

From yesterday 16 total hits and only 1 run. Baker strikes out 1 batter and yet the Indians only put 1 run up. C.C did alright, but wasn't dominant with only 5 K's in 9 innings, he just didn't give up the gopher, and Morneau was more than happy to line into a couple double plays. Marci was happy to get picked off a couple times as well. Plenty of chances to score, just didn't happen for me last night. Both of the other plays I liked cashed. Under in the Brew Crew game and them Over in the Rockies game. Still going to stick to one play a day however. Just not enough time to cap more than 4-5 games per day.

For tonight I'm on a home underdog. I'm taking the Mets up against the mighty Webb. He's seen two road losses against NL East opponents, and I think he's in line for a 3rd tonight. If he stumbles, the Diamondbacks don't have many options in the pen. Scherzer is the only pitcher with rest as their starters have averaged under 5 innings in the past three games. The Mets are on a five game skid, but I feel the Dbacks are in a tough spot as well in the end of a long road trip where they've gone 3-5 so far. Almost half of the damage they did last night came against 1 man (Sanchez) who only pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up 5 hits (2 HR). Pelfrey has shown glimpses of brilliance, enough to keep him in a rotation that has Vargas hungry for more starts. Going up against a guy like Webb should spark some determination.

***UPDATE: I may actually have one more play tonight....

Hope Webb makes a couple mistakes the 2nd time through Cavorca!

After a digging a little deeper, I found a play that I actually like a little bit more than the Mets, so I'm going to put it in as well. Don't let the title fool you, I've got 2 plays tonight. I wish I could delve into why I like the Rangers, but a fade of Davies at this price is a big part of it. I'm off to watch the A's beat my girlfriend's Yankees, Duchscherer has been a pleasure to watch at home. I also like the Padres Under, but no way I play Under 7 with heavy juice. Good Luck tonight!

      TEXAS RANGERS -115

Hey Biff...GL! Just wondering why you are fading Davies...he's had two starts now, and both have been gems...including last start against the big bad Yanks in Yankee stadium. He has been a pretty brutal mlb starter in the past though...lol. I was actually thinking of fading PADILLA earlier, lol...so that's why I'm asking....but I made it a no play...

Take a look at his previous statistics. He had a 17-28 record coming into this year. Let's just say I think he's been more lucky than good so far with KC. I saw him with Atlanta and put him on my list of guys to fade only. I never forget pitchers I put on that list. Texas is going to hit him hard, and I thought the -115 juice was a fair enough bet. I'd take Padilla over Davies 99 times out of 100 as of right now with their respective offenses. Good Luck tonight Johnny!

Saying I was in need of a 2-0 night is a huge understatement, so hopefully a hot streak has begun. Wagner almost blew another one, but I'm glad the Mets finally got on the board again in the 13th. Davies dodged the Rangers all night and when the KC bullpen started throwing strikes the Rangers were ready! Glad to see the A's hang on as well... Duchscherer is slowing becoming an ace at McAfee, well worth the juice on any given day.
