    ~~ BIFF'S BASES - JUN. 4th ~~

Starting with a total play to get the ball rolling.

This number seems way to low to me given who's on the mound. Duke is seeing an average of 11 runs in games he starts! Somehow I think Oswalt's past success against the Pirates is keeping this number so low. Fact is though, we all know this is the same Roy this year. He's given up at least 1 home run in his past 6 starts, 9 homers total over those 6 games. I can almost guarantee that he's never done that before in his career. He gave up 18 in '05, 18 in '06, and only 14 in '07. This year he's given up 16 home runs so far. Both Oswalt and Duke have only issued 20 walks in 76 and 65 innings respectively. These two teams are both in the TOP 5 in the NL for batting average with runners on base. Neither team is high in walks or strikeouts, which means they're putting the ball in play. All systems go for me.

Accidentally posted plays here instead of my thread... It's been a long day.

Anyway, looks like we had similar thoughts on the Hou/Pitt game. GL tonight!

Missed it by 1 H/R/E... wow. I had a total of 25 after 6 innings... thought I was safe. Playing the H+R+E in the game tonight. If it is a close game the bullpen studs should come out. Cubs seems like too easy of a play, and I like this bet more, despite the heavy juice. Hope I can shake the bad luck I've had recently.

Padres cashed that Under easily... I really needed a 2-0 day to spark something, but fate had different plans. A new day is here... another chance to get in a groove.
