    ~~ BIFF'S BASES - MAY 27th ~~

Bowling league starts tonight, so I'm going to get all my picks posted early.

For starters tonight, I'm going with two contact pitchers up against two of the hottest hitting teams in the AL. Padilla has been the ace in Texas, but he's seen some very soft competition so far this year. I don't see how this H+R+E goes over if the total gets to 9 runs. I'm seeing the total at 9½ at most books now. No way I take that hook, but the fact that they moved off 9 must mean there's a sizable amount on the Over. Nasty juice on this one, but they do that on purpose. I got two more I'll post shortly.

    RANGERS/RAYS - TOTAL H+R+E - OVER 28½ (-135)

    *RISKING $405 TO WIN $300

    --

    May ML = (17-18) -$80
    May RL = (1-3) -$570
    May O/U = (3-4) -$420
    May H+R+E = (3-2) +$150
    May Parlays = (4-2) +$1,155

    --

    Starting Bankroll = $30,000

    Current Bankroll = $32,085

    1% Bet Amount = $300

    Bet Change @ $33,000 / $27,000

Thanks Boiler... Good Luck to you tonight as well. :th:

Last two, going with a two game parlay that will stretch into tomorrow if I hit tonight, and a small home favorite as a night cap. Now I'm off to shoot some turkeys...

St. Louis is back at home where they do some serious damage. Looper and Wainwright are the 1-2 punch they are going to rely on in this divisonal match-up. With Chacon and road-weary Wandy on deck for the Stros, I think these are two games the Cardinals should wrap up pretty easily. Houston's NL TOP 5 offense at home this year is border line NL BOTTOM 5 on the road this year. With splits like that, I like this pitching mismatch even more.

I'm also on the A's tonight and for the clear reason that they are playing great ball right now and not letting runs across. Should be more of the same tonight I think as Smith is definitely AL Rookie of the Year worthy right now and the Jays are really struggling to get a handle on lefties so far. Burnett can be as good as any pitcher in the league when he's on, but call me crazy I like the A's bats more than I do the Jays. A's are still in the AL TOP 3 for average with RISP.

      ST. LOUIS CARDINALS (5/27-5/28) - 2-GAME PARLAY (+180)

      *RISKING $300 TO WIN $540

      OAKLAND ATHLETICS (-110)

      *RISKING $330 TO WIN $300

Just updating from last night going 2-1.

Hit parade in Tampa yesterday as expected, and the A's continue to amaze me how good their pitching is. I would have been hard to put the A's rotation the TOP 10 in AL at the start of the season, (Blanton, Harden, Duchscherer, Eveland, Smith) but they are in the TOP 5 right now, and the pen might be the best in the AL.

Cardinals fell down early and never got back up, so although I strongly think they win tonight, I won't have any action on that game.
