    Houston +116 ... 1 Unit

Hoping Hou can avoid the sweep vs Tex, who will be without Hamilton according to ESPN's lineup. Backe has sucked in general, but he's gotten hit hard by lefties this year. Hamilton out is big IMO, but Tex does have other lefties that worry me (Bradley, Murphy, Cat...) and Young has owned Backe. Hou has hit lefties very well this year though, and Gabbard has had health issues that have limited him and probably isn't pitching deep in the game. FYI I've lost more money on Hou than any team and Backe than any SP and am a Hou homer. Knowing that, I'm trying to be more selective on them, but I still do like the spot today and think Backe could limit Tex enough for Hou to get the W.

Was busy this morning, so I'm still getting to the rest of the games... Kind of thinking I might like the NYM tonight. GL!

I'm thinking Mets tonight too... Yanks just aren't threatening offensively right now.

Just like I said I was worried about, Backe gives up bombs to lefties Bradley and Murphy before being pulled in the 7th, but Hou still got the W. Didn't watch the game, but according to Biff's thread, Tex made a poor decision or two. Anyway, really happy about Backe's good start. He came back from Tommy John very quickly late last year and hasn't pitched great so far. Hopefully this start is a sign of progress (0 BB was very nice) that he's getting his arm built back toward full strength. As Hou's #2, IMO he's a guy who can beat other #2's at a pretty nice price. Thought that since the start and have lost with him, but maybe things are turning around.

        NY Mets +150 ... 1 Unit

Not easy going against Wang, but IMO the NYM have some value here. Perez has had his share of issues (esp the BB's) this year, but he is coming off a 6IP, 3H, 4BB, 3R win over Cincy. Besides Jeter (4-12), Matsui (2-7 but 2HR) and Cano (4-8), no NYY hit him very well. Perez has also been great vs LH's so far this year (.103 BAA) or last (.206 BAA), and ESPN has the NYY with 5 LH's in the lineup. I also like the spot for the NYM as a team. After Wagner's comments, they got a W yesterday. Saw Delgado pumping his fist after a hit in the highlights yesterday, so those comments could have this team focused. The NYM got beat 8-2 with 10K's vs Wang last year in his only start vs them, though their top guys did get some hits off him. Like I said, hard to go against Wang, but IMO the spot and price make the NYM worth a play here.

Hopefully Jeter and Giambi aren't wearing their golden thongs.

Congrats you made the right call tonight.

I should have followed suit. I admit I second guessed myself beacuse I had trouble backing Perez when Maine was supposed to start this game. I didn't think it would be Wang that had a blow up inning.

10 hits and 9 runs in the 8th... interleague just put me a step back.

Glad to get that NYM play after the rain delay hurt me in the Phi game. Kendrick was a big reason for the play, and Halladay showing up hurt too. Phi's 13 hits vs Tor's 6 kind of rubs it in..lol...
