3-0 run the past 2 days...with my year so far, I'll take it. Glad I hit the Cubs hard last night, doesn't get much easier than that situation.
Couple more today...
Yankees -134 (Wang) vs Rays
Don't back NY too often, but I like them in this spot to even up the series coming off a big loss last night. TB has been rolling, winning 5 straight, but are in tough against Wang IMO. Wang has been money all year, has pitched well on the road, and the Yanks have only lost once in his starts...that against the insane Cliff Lee. Wang has also owned TB over his career, and has one shutout win against them this year already. On the other side...Edwin came into his last start struggling, and was able to shut down the Jays. I'll chalk that up to the Jays absloute horrible hitting, and I suspect the Yanks are able to get to Edwin tonight. They tagged him for 5 ERs their last meeting a few weeks ago. Yanks also have traditionaly played great at Tropicana...getting huge support, making it a road "home" game. I don't see them getting swept there by the Rays...and this is their game to win, IMO. Probably come back with Shields over Mussina tomorrow.
Royals -112 (Grienke) vs Tigers
Grienke always seems to be under-valued....team perceptions I guess...even though Robertson sucks (4+ ERs EVERY start this year), the Tigers have the worst pitching in baseball, and a ****ty bullpen. But hey, they signed Cabrera, so they should win against lowly KC right? Grienke has been as consistantly good as any starter in the AL, and has only layed more than -125 once this year. It really is amazing again we can get him laying 15 cents at home to Robertson IMO.
