MLB YTD: 83-83, -30.36 Units
Blue Jays -137 (Marcum) vs Rays - 2 Units
Marcum solid as anyone on the Jays staff, and gets the bounce-back win after Toronto lost a close one to end the winning streak... I haven't backed the Jays in a while, but I really like them tonight...
Royals -114 (Grienke) vs Angels - 2 Units
Grienke continues to draw near pick'em or dog lines, and all he does is throw gems...producing the 2nd best ERA in the AL behind Lee. Gotta like a dominant starter drawing a low number trying to avoid a sweep at home...
Braves -159 (Hudson) vs Padres - 4 Units
SD a horrible team who cannot hit worth a ****, and besides a couple bigname guys they haven't been pitching too well either. The Pads are really a couple injuries to Peavy and Young away from being one of the worst teams in MLB history. The Braves are at home, where they are 12-4, they have their ace going, who pitches great at home and is rolling, and have a lineup that is killing the ball, and has been hitting lefties well all year. REAL surprised this wasn't -200.
Giants/Pirates OVER 9 -138 (Listed) - 2 Units
Merry Christmas, Zito is back in the rotation. I'll go with the over instead of the home side. With him facing one of the best over teams in baseball, and with the Pirates throwing out a questionable starter in their ownright...there should be lots of runs tonight. Dumatrait is a converted reliever, so does not have the arm to go deep into games, exposing that ****ty 25th ranked Pirates bullpen. In fact, both bullpens are ranked in the bottom 3rd of the league.
Mariners -149 (Bedard) vs Rangers - 4 Units
Nice spot for the M's...coming off a blowout loss with an ace on the hill. I do not see Texas winning this series by beating Bedard in Seattle, especially after blowing their load last night. The are usually a bad road team, especially in Seattle where last night's win was only their 2nd in the last 10 games there. The Rangers also don't hit lefties very well this year, in fact were shut down by Washbum a few nights ago, so the nasty Bedard should be able to have a good night too. Padilla has pitched OK this year, but is due for a rough night. Kinda surprised this wasn't near -200 as well, but I guess Sea is struggling, so Bedard gets a decent line.
