    ~~ BIFF'S BASES - MAY 6th ~~

I liked the Padres in the early games, some solid value at +135 with CY against a youngin' Jair Jurrjens. I almost pulled the trigger on them, but I backed off in the end. They're bound to turn things around, but I like them to do it at home. On the road against the Braves is a tough, tough battle right now. I'll be back in a few to post my first play.

I lost some plus money value on this one. Line opened around the +125 mark I believe. Hill has had some forearm injury that's been bothering him, but he's been babying it so for him I guess that's the best thing to do. It hasn't effected his stuff so far, the K dip last game was a bit of a concern, but that was against Atlanta who holds the least amount in the NL. Houston, his opponent tonight, on the other hand holds the least amount of walks in the NL. I guess I'm not alone is being a Shawn Hill fan, when the guy is healthy he's good. Chacon is playing better than his career average in most categories, and this late in his career you have to think he's past his prime, if he had one, and should move closer to his averages sooner than later. Still not a fan of the Houston pen, and I think an easy stat to see is Houston's success against LHP at home. I usually like to be against huge splits like that when they are going for cheap. This rolling Nats team could be undervalued coming on the road against the hot Houston sweep of Brew Crew. Good Luck.

This is going to be my last one tonight, taking another even money bet, but this time a losing home team. Another line that seems to be way off. How Redman is getting close to pick'em status against Looper with a very high total has to puts a little something in the air. If it's offense, tonight I like the Rockies at home. They've been scoring runs, and just felt some Dodger love. Cardinals stole one late last night, and I think the Rockies are going to try and make that a little harder tonight. I'm really taking a gamble on Redman, but I'm looking for the Rockies to do some damage of their own. Heed caution on this one.

GL! I was looking at Washington too....I like Hill as well, but layed off b/c of the Nats road success. I am fading Redman and the Rox tonight though...he's on his last legs...

Hill did not have his stuff by any means tonight. He was laboring from the start, but he worked hard to keep the nats in it. Hopefully they can hang on. I must say, I was impressed with Chacon's breaking ball.

Johnny... Daws... just a rough night for me... Two comebacks. Two RL winners. Both gave me 5-6 loses. :bang:
