    JML Tuesday MLB >>>

    MLB YTD: 54-52, -7.08 Units

    Early play...

    Mets +108 (Action) vs Cubs
Wow...I can't believe they are making Lilly a fave again. I know the Cubs bats are hot, but this is a good Mets lineup coming off 2 straight losses, facing the brutal Lilly. Ted doesn't have it this year....he has no velocity, and his curveball isn't bailing him out. He was always medicore and inconsistant in the AL, and now the NL is seeing it for the first time. "I'm just losing patience at this point," Lilly said after his last start....sounds like a guy who knows something's wrong, and has no confidence in his stuff. This Mets linup traditionally hits lefties well (.300 this year, .290 last year).

    Night games...

Blue Jays +131 (Litsch) vs Rays
Don't think the Jays have drawn this kind of dog line since the opening series in NY...and they get it against the Rays, who are 4-7 at home, and have lost 5 of 7 overall? Have to take that value...Litsch has a good arm, just need the Jays bats to break out...

    Braves RL +105(Smoltz) vs Nats
So much for Washington being a "value" team this year, lol....they blow worse than last year....this game is a rematch of a game from 10 days ago, where Smoltz totally shut down the Nats, Lannan got rocked by the Braves, and Atlanta won in a 10-2 blowout as a -145 fave. I see more of the same tonight, as the Braves have been on a tear since that game, winning 5 straight, and Washington continues to blow hard, losing 6 of 7.

    Padres -146 (Peavy) vs Astros
Peavy has been sick again this year, and against a bad/medicore team like the Astros anything under -150 is an automatic play. Backe started out the year with good results...but looking deeper, it was more of a case of getting out of jams, as he has an unbelievable WHIP of 2.05 and opponent OBP of .411...and continually having men on base will eventually get you in trouble....much like it did his last start...a 10-2 blowout loss in Philly.

DBacks RL -105 (Webb) vs Giants - 5 Units
Backing another ace with sick numbers to start the year, playing the horrible Giants and the auto-fade, Zito...another rematch from last week of the easy 4-1 Zona win as a -170 fave. This time the DBacks are at home, and on a serious roll...don't see how the Giants pull it out...

    3 Units Each

Backing maybe the three best pitchers in the NL starting against maybe the three worst teams in the NL...we'll see what happens...

Agree with you on Tor and Atl, and will likely be on both of those plays as well. As for SD/Hou, IMO it'll be a very close game. I'm a big Backe supporter and Hou has hit better the last couple games. Hard to go against Peavy, as he probably won't give up more than a couple, but Backe pitched well at SD early this season. IMO that under isn't a bad play.

This guy Jesse Carlson has been UNREAL so far this year.

Rays aren't at home though. They're playing at Disney world.

The Florida address, and 99% Rays fans don't make it a home game? lol. Point taken though.
