    Thurs

    Flubs -120

    2 units

Flubs hot, Reds not...and the Reds can't hit even an average to crappy lefty like Lilly, as evidenced by how he dominated them last year. Get out the brooms....

    Detroit +100
    Detroit/Cleveland over 9 +100

One year wonder Carmona gets lit by the heating up Tiger bats, imho....

    Florida +140

Atlanta is overrated. They're 5-9, and really haven't looked all that good. I don't understand this line, so I'll go with what I feel is the mega home dog value here with the better team. Smoltz won't have an ERA under 1 for the whole season either.

    Oakland -115

Much like last night, Seattle still isn't a good road team just cause they won one road game, and it's not that long ago I remember alot of "Fading Silva....he sucks" and the like, and now all of a sudden he's an all star because he traded in his Twins uniform for a Mariners one and pitched a few decent games?

I'm not buying any of it.

M's pen is a little bit of a ? too, and Silva is overdue for a rocking.

    Mets -170/Padres -170 (+152)

Self explanatory. Mets should crush Lannan (again), and Washington continues to not score no matter who they are facing. Peavy should dominate the struggling Rockies at home, and Francis has been crap this year, and over his career vs the Padres as well.

I'm probably not gonna make a habit of playing parlays in mlb, but getting +152 for this one looks too nice to pass up.

    2 units each

Might have a few more fades yet. Had my eye on a few more games, but with the way I've sucked so far this week, I might just leave it at these.

Leyland is high up on my list for dumbest manager of the year. Why is Gary Sheffield still batting 3rd? Because Leyland loves him like his own child is the answer, but talk about handicapping your baseball team by having your 4th or 5th best hitter batting 3rd. Miguel Cabrera should be hitting 3rd following by Magglio Ordonez and then Carlos Guillen.... then Sheffield. Those are three of the best 10 hitters in the league possibly, and he has them all hitting behind an over the hill, injury prone Sheffield. Insanity.

          It's mind boggling...

I agree Cuse. Sheff should be batting 6th...

Kinda like Frank Thomas hitting cleanup or 5th for the Jays. Why, cause he was a monster in 1997? Guy is a .250 hitter who occasionally hits one out. And a rally killer with great hitters like Hill, Rios & Wells always on base. Move him down to 6th/7th. Managers have been pitching around Wells all year just to get to Frank....and Wells still has monster comback numbers so far. Imagine if he had some protection! My biggest pet peeve with the current Jays roster...Big Hurt...lol....hurt any chance at the playoffs...not to completely change the subject, lol. I think when Rolen comes back he might bat behind Wells...but who knows if he can have a comeback like Vernon.

Maybe all those innings on his young arm over the past two years are catching up with him finally? Many thought it would bite him in the ass last year, but he was sensational, maybe it's getting to him now???

Yea could be. I still think Carmona is gonna be a super fade this year, considering he will draw ridiculous lines and imo isn't gonna be nearly as good as last season.

Not to go off, but the Tigers just plain stink. Like the Yankees (trying to buy a winning team), but somehow even worse. I know there's a long season left yet, but geez, what a bad team to this point. Second worst record in baseball, one measly game ahead of the Nationals, lol, and with the pitching they have (or don't have I should say), I don't see them coming anywhere near making a run at the playoffs this season.

I wouldn't be shocked to see the Royals make a run at the division title though....

I agree....I bought into the hype, but that team blows. They scored the 3rd most runs in baseball last year, but their pitching was questionable, and they had a brutal bullpen...so what do they do? Go out and get another premier hitter, and a ****ty starter.

I'd love to see KC make a run.....and with that starting staff....it just might happen... :beerbang:
