    ~~ BIFF'S BASES - APR. 14th ~~

No sides out there I like today, so I was looking at totals. Almost game time, so a short write-up. Big fan of both the ARZ/SF - Over and the NYY/TB - Over, but I'm only taking the one I like the most. A lot of people are on the Indians today and for good reason. Westbrook has been lights out and the pen hasn't blown a lead after the 6th inning. Everybody is over Lester, including some Boston fans, and the line just jumped to -150 at some offshore books. If Lester can keep his walks down he CAN be a good starter. I hope Lester makes them earn it tonight in another cool one in Cleveland. I wanted the Under yesterday w/ the snow, but I'll take my chances tonight. I'm 0-2 in my two over plays this year, so I'm taking another stab at an Under since my first one was cancelled. Good Luck!

I hate Joe Borowski. I hate him. Don't know the guy personally, but he's garbage. Why bring him in with a 4-3 lead when everyone knew he would blow it. :puke: I don't care how many saves he got last year, he could be the worst closer in the league. In today's game, I think it's an oxymoron to have a finesse closer. If you can't top 85 mph on your fastball... that's called a mop up man.

I also need to update my original post when I said they haven't blown a lead after 6 innings. They have once before... they won, but a blown save by Borowski. Tonight, they weren't so lucky.

I'm just going to have to forget this game except for one detail. DON'T BET ON THE TRIBE WHEN THEY ARE FAVORED AGAINST A GOOD HITTING TEAM. Why? Just for the chance that Borowski will come in the game. As long as he's the closer I won't touch them against any top half offensive teams. Nor will I touch the Under. I'm glad the Indians lost, they reap what they sow. Funny how when I was capping this game the only guy I was afraid of was Manny... he's had great success against Westbrook and the Indians pen and sure enough he stuck the dagger in my bet.

My O/U jinx continues. Damn shame I didn't go with my 2nd pick the slugfest that took place in Tampa. Oh well, thought I'd take a shot on an Under, and it was a good bet, just a bad closer... tomorrow is a new day.

Joe Blow is good when you need him to blow the game.

He helped me last outing, but as soon as he came out tonight I knew my money was gone.

Yeah, well what can you do. Of the three I liked I picked the one loser, and it was all thanks to Joe BlowS.

Indians’ Borowski goes on DL with strained triceps

              Biff -

You have 15 days to invest in the Indians. Joe Blow is on the DL.
