Really? I do have very non-mainstream taste when it comes to movies... my favorite directors are the Coen bros, Michel Gondry & Wes Anderson, so many do not share the same taste. I just think the villain played by Javier Barbem in No Country was one of the greatest ever. Tommy Lee Jones played a great part & the whole movie to me had a very tense feel (IMO not having any background music was a nice touch.) I bought it the day it came out on dvd & have probably watched it 4 times...

Daws hated No Country and the Wire. I'm not really sure about his tastes. He needs Arnold or Sly to be "entertained". lol

No Country was a tad popular come awards time too I believe...lol...awesome movie, IMO...

no country for old men is a great movie, loved the way that he killed everyone even when they didnt show it, asking the guy to get the chickens out of the truck, next scene he is cleaning the bed of the truck haha

                    Overall Records

Each play is to win the # of units posted unless it's a dog then I'm betting that amount.

let me just say that the people who select the awards are never the people who represent the general public. I watched this movie with 3 other people and they all said it was stupid. I did like how the movie was going at first, but the end was horrible. The bad guy breaks his arm and walks away, then tommy lee jones talks about his dream of his dad and then the movie ends? Am i missing something?

The wire is growing on me but it is still nothing compared to LOST which the best tv show imo.

so you are telling me broke back mountain was a good movie? Why is no country for men "so good"? American Gangster was much better i thought.

Those seem to be the reasons many people didn't like the movie, but I think that's what seperates it from most movies. There is no real resolution, the bad guy gets away, & Tommy Lee Jones has to face the reality that he's outmatched & he knows it.
