    ~~ BIFF'S BASES - APR. 7th ~~

Well had a bad 0-2 yesterday, and I'm looking to get on track here this season. It's still early, and it's good to get mistakes like that Marlins pick yesterday out of the way. That is the only pick I've made so far this season that is going to haunt me here until I can shake this little funk I'm in. I'm sorry I posted/made that play, I was tossing money on a game I really wasn't too sure about. I'll try and make sure that doesn't happen again.

I'm taking a stab at one early game today, mostly based on last years numbers. The Reds were the WORST pitching team during the day in the majors last year. And by worst, I'm of coarse referring to their rank in OBP% and SLG%. Meanwhile the Phillies have one of the best offensive lineups in the majors on any given day. Hamels was lights out against this team last year when he strung up 15 Reds in his only start against them. Arroyo has struggled as well during the day, and until I see otherwise, I see this line as valuable. I hope the Phils bats wake up here sooner than later. Cole got zero run support last time out, I think he's due a few this game. Phillies haven't really exploded this series at the Great American Ballpark which is very hitter friendly. On the other hand, Cole Hamels is not... especially against a lineup that relies on some big lefties. The wind should be blowing in from right I believe also. I'm looking for Cincy to come out flat in a early day game after winning the last two in fine fashion. Let's hope that happens!

        Almost.... :th:

        Big Moe... :th:

Arroyo gives up four bombs! That'll usually lead to more than 5 runs, but 5 was enough to win today.
Now I wish I didn't have him on my fantasy squad. Him and Lilly both starting for me today. :bang:

Gotcha buddy... no worries. I wanted a piece of that action that's all. :th:

No more baseball plays today. I'm leaning heavy on the Diamondbacks, but Haren is over rated. I watched him in Oakland last year, and he just fell apart in the 2nd half. The Dodgers on the other hand have been relying on their pitching while hitting like .220 as a team so far. I sure as hell wouldn't rely on Loaiza tonight in the home opener at Chase Field (On a side note, this looks to be one of the nicer ballparks in the league this year, just put in the largest HD screen in any park, I'll be making the trip with the A's to see them take on Haren this June)... However, I'm not about to ruin a 1-0 day laying -150. I'm taking the 1-0 and working to get on track here one game at a time.

I am however putting a pretty penny on the Jayhawks ML +110. Rose has had stomach issues the past couple days because he eats candy all day, he's a kid, that's what they do. As for the Final Four games, UCLA had a loss like that coming to them they way they were playing in this tournament. Kansas just blowing out UNC in the first half was much more impressive in my opinion. Even though I had Kansas v. UCLA in the Championship for my bracket, I didn't have Memphis making the elite eight. (The only final four team I didn't choose right. I had Texas instead.) I did however have Kansas going all the way. This is purely a bet based on trusting my bracket, so for what it's worth. This bet is off the record. Good Luck on the action tonight.

Hey the Hawks did it! Been a couple years since I got the Champions right. Congrats to all those riding Bill Self and the boys tonight! :th:

I loved watching Chalmers play... the kid is pure talent.
