Braves -160 (Hudson) vs Nats - 2 Units
Spent the last hour trying to find a reason to back the Nats (besides the "new stadium" theory), and I couldn't find one. I really wanted to back them. I know the Nats will be pumped, but won't the Braves be too in a season opener on Prime time? Isn't every team pumped up for season openers? As for the players...Hudson has owned the Nats (4-0, 0.60 last year), and had a great, great spring. Odalis Perez goes for the Nats, a favourite fade of mine, and amazingly a castoff by the Kansas City Royals! He has not had good success against Atlanta (or anyone really, lol). You are not in good shape when your opening day starter had an ERA near six for the worst team in the AL, and was subsequently released/bought out. The Braves face a ton of lefties, and should be able to score on Perez. Gotta go with the better team, and the much better starter.
