Second baseman Mark Grudzielanek is scheduled to make his spring debut in Friday's 2:05 p.m. CT game against the Colorado Rockies at Surprise Stadium. He'd been held out until now so he could ease into shape at his own speed, especially after having two left knee surgeries last year. The Royals' scheduled pitchers are Brian Bannister, Kyle Davies, Ron Mahay, Jimmy Gobble and Joel Peralta. The Rockies' starter is Aaron Cook.
