    Sox Tribe Thread

I KNOW I DON"T POST A LOT THIS IS JUST A LOT OF OPINION AND WOULD LOVE FEEDBACK

When you look at the hitting I think the overall advantage goes to the indians. Besides the Ortiz, Manny, Lowell combination the Red Sox have too many automatic outs in their lineup while the Indians keep getting big hits 1 through 9. (Not to mention their combo of Sizemore, Hafner and Martinez is arguably just as good as the sox big 3). For them to have any chance Pedroia needs to start producing because without him or Youkilis on the bases the sox will not score runs.

With a Knuckleballer on the mound tonight the game really is a toss-up. Wakefields a big game pitcher but if he leaves a couple hanging this is the type of team that can make him pay. Byrd has pitched well so far in the playoffs. Don't forget that while he has a good record at home he also owned the thrid highest home ERA in the majors at a little less than 6.

For a prediction I think that the Sox are good for about 5/6 runs tonight off Byrd and that should be enough for Wakefield to get through a good 5 to 6 innings and then hand it off to the bullpen. Maybe get a hit out of JD Drew tonight off a soft throwing righty? I don't like the sox being a money favorite in this game which is the only thing stopping my play right now.

    Any thoughts?

The way to beat the Indians bats is junk. Don't throw them fastballs. Wakefield presents a tougher matchup for them than someone like Dice-K. Beckett is Beckett....

    Byrd blows.

The x-factor tonight will be the weather. Will Wakefield be able to get a solid grip on the ball? Will the ball dance properly in the heavy air. I can't say...

Me thinks the Red Sox Bats are due for a breakthrough. Bryrd presents a great opportunity for such...

I see the Sox going with Wakefield for 4-5, then possibly turning to Lester. Who knows Beckett or Schilling could even come in for an inning or two. Considering the off day tomorrow and a near must-win situation for the Sox. Down 3-1 is a tough spot, history shows.

I like the Sox tonight. Think this series goes at least 6, if not 7
its my way or the lame way.

    2016 NFL:
    straight up 14-7-1 (+10.9u)
    parlays 0-1 (-1u)
    total: +9.9u

        Complete pass for me.

The game is a complete pick'em....could go eithe way
The line gives you NO value at all as it is basically set as a pick'em
The weather gives almost ZERO reason to mess with the total

Its a total pass for me.

I will just watch it on TV and root for the Indians!
If it ain't fun, don't do it!
