    Tie-Break Monday

well the season is over and it was a pretty good season, eclipsing a little over 40 units on the season and it leaves me with one last chance to add a little bit to the bankroll before the playoffs come around and I play the series prices and all that other nonsense

Padres -135, 2 units....Im forgetting about the ROX run, cause the regular season and what happened means squat right now....I am backing the best pitcher in the National League at a cheap price, and thats what my play is based upon, I think the Pads will get enough offense tonight, and the extra day rest can only help Peavy IMO....

    gl everyone

BTW: as anyone taken a look at series prices?? I was looking into the CUBS at +120, I really think they should be able to handle ARZ in 5... I was also taking a look at CLE as well, everyone seems to be dogging them about going 0-6 vs Yanks... but I like having Sabathia and Carmona going 1-2 vs the Yanks, and the Yanks are going to have to throw Mussina, Clemens, or Hughes in the later games I think they are very hittable, getting a good price on Indians too, I believe Yanks are -180,so Im guessing CLE is +160-170 range....not sure with the BOS-LAA series, pretty sure I am going to play BOS game 1, as Lackey has really struggled at Fenway and the Angels are a different team away from Anahiem...

    0-1, -2.7 units

Not the way I wanted to close off my season, but didnt expect Trevor Hoffman to pull another choke job down the stretch, and I guess this Padres team really didnt belong in the playoffs...Rockies are going to be coming to the Vault and should make for a very good series with the Phillies...Looks like its gonna be Hamels-Francis, Kendrick-Jimenez, Lohse-Morales, and Moyer-Fogg...2 high power offenses and this should make for one of the better series we will get to see..Colorado and Philadelphia are two of the hotter teams and both teams rely heavily on their bats and this series is going to come down to who is gonna get the better pitching, and as long as the Phillies can get 6 out of their starters and get the last 3 out of their relief(gordon-romero-myers) I really like the Phillies chances, I think the Phillies can win if they can avoid throwing Holliday anything to pitch, and getting the lead early on and trying to take the Rockies out of the game early, but it should be a very very intense series.... but right now I think I am leaning to the Phillies, Cubs, Indians, and Angels in the DS....

YTD: 378-352-7, +41.55 units for the regular season
