    Huge play LA DOdgers

I dont see the Rockies winning anymore, they have reached the end. LA is pissed they watched Rockies climb in the standings and want to end their playoff hopes. They are face Penny, who is the best pitcher in the league, he only gives up 1 run a game. I just see a low scoring game and LA come out ahead 4 - 2.

    $750 La Dodgers -129

That's the way to do it. Go big on one game, at least you feel it.
I think that's what I am going to start doing.

Hope the Dodgers come through for you.

its the only way to bet. It may seem like i have a problem, but who is actually making money in this forum, betting 5 - 8 games a day at 1 unit a game.

I'm doing ok flat betting a few games a day for the last few years....

I don't disagree with your technique, just thought I'd point that out. Your style (betting large on one game) is much more dangerous to someone who doesn't know what they're doing than flat betting.

Obviously most people aren't going to be able to afford a bad losing streak at a few hundred bucks per game.

The key to flat betting is discipline, and not over reacting to losing streaks, or winning streaks. Something most people do not do. Winning streaks turn $50 bettors into $150 bettors, and it's all downhill from there. Oddly enough, losing streaks do the same, with people trying to chase losses.

No matter what your style is, not betting more than you can afford to lose is the bottom line.

I agree. I've been playing a couple a day for the last couple of years and you come up and you go down, it gets very repedative. I was thinking about upping those plays, but still the ratio is the same. That's really where the juice kicks in as well. Win a -110 and lose a -110, well there's the juice. I think its smarter to go 220 (or more) on the one you feel most confident on.

Plus you lose the feeling of action. You can go up a couple or lose a couple, and pretty much shrug at it, I swear it's not even fun anymore. But when you have big action on one game, you get the feeling back.

I don't think you have a problem, but I know I have one.

I haven't checked lately but I bet between 1 and 9 games a day entire season and I believe I am up between 15 and 20 units. I'll look at it tonight.

:celebrate: bet 4 last night (all dogs) and won 3. As a matter of fact, last night, I took the rox....
last night I was limited on time, while making my bets, so I used a method I use many times, which has been profitable: Check the line movement..

here are the 3 winnas I had last night:

was (line moved 20pts toward them, with 1/4 public on them)
tbd (line moved 50pts toward them, with 1/4 public on them)
col (line moved 40pts toward them, with even action)
                    I flat bet 4 & won 3(min +110 was my loser)

                    Results:
                    min -100
                    was +200
                    tbd +150
                    col +116

                    400 risked, & 466 won.... ROI ....

bud I have been doing this all season and you know what I bet a lot of games all season as you can deal from my record on the YTD..... but you know what I have been basicly flat betting between 1 unit and 4 units all year and I have accumulated 43 units with a unit being 25 bucks and guess what I made about a grand on something I enjoy to watch so I really dont think going big is the right answer....I dont gamble on games for the money, I do it for the action when I am watching my baseball games, but I added some weight to my wallot doing so I can that I have actually made some money....instead of burning my bankroll on a team that has lost 9 of its last 11 going against a team that has won 7 in a row....so I guess discipline does pay off, like stif and homedawg added......

dont want to be a ballbuster, but the way you go about with your posting its needed sometime, gl the rest of the season man
