    Online dried up - adios

So is it just me or does it seem hard as hell for a guy to deposit funds and place a friendly wager these days? I used to use betus.com, but now they don't appear to accept MoneyGram and they were kicked out of Canada.

I don't trust *any* book any longer, nor do I trust the outfits that do take deposits. I guess this means I'm done with the online thing, and will have to continue to rely on LV for my sports betting, which, unfortunately, isn't as robust as what is offered online.

I was really looking forward to the NCAAF this year...just won't be the same w/o some money on the games.

    Good old government intervention. F'ers!

hd - I hear what you're saying, but Vegas doesn't offer much (make that nothing) on any soccer, which I like to bet. It also doesn't offer all of the prop bets I enjoy with all of the sports (including tennis, soccer, ncaaf, afl) so yeah, I shouldn't complain...but I loved the convenience of placing a wager online vs. having to hop in the 300 and hit a sportsbook...especially when you've had about a dozen beers.

Prop bets are "sucker" bets... You cant seriously tell me, that you actually profit from them, can ya???? Just stick with the 50/50 odds and do your homework...I also cant believe that vegas hasn't picked up on the "prop" bets, with all the problems of online gambling? GL :beerbang:

HD- what up? Ive been laying low until CFB starts. Burned out on the gambling still.

NevadaJay- HD is right. Unless you are a professional, there is no way anyone has enough time to handicap all the **** that on-line books put up each day. I would much rather put down a bet in Vegas and be able to collect it 5 minutes after the game ends and have cash in hand. The Coast properties have ML's on a lot of the games (most books still don't) and the Hilton will put some up, as well. Can't remember the book, but one of them offers some good stuff when it comes to NASCAR, too. There are plenty of things to bet in Vegas where the lines are off enough to give you an advantage. If you bet the smaller conference games in CFB and CBB, you can find some great value. I love going to the Hilton Superbook on a Saturday. Harrahs used to have an awesome sportsbook/sportsbar until they turned 80 percent of it into a huge waste of space poker room that nobody plays at. I used to love that book. Had the feel of a sportsbar and the action of a book. I dunno........we all did just fine with locals and Vegas runs back in the day.....

There is some nice value to be had with props because they're targeted towards the square customer with their low limits and the like.

That said, there is plenty of cash to be made if you're like me and have a small bankroll and don't hit max when you bet the value that's out there.

I'll give ya one piece of advice: The NO first inning score in an MLB game has sucker written all over in.

I am still a big fan of the locals.

I understand the conveniene of online though, but I still rather stick with a local.

Don't go play at the casinos. That will become way too time consuming.

There's still plenty of good outs to bet with online.

We're now relegated to 1 week to 4 week payouts though, which is rough to digest after we've all been spoiled by neteller and overnight payouts.

Many expect the climate to get much better. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
