Fireballers seem to be dropping like flies these days. It seems like every time a hard throwing stud comes up they end up crapping out with elbow/shoulder problems.
It makes me wonder if this is because it's just not good for a guy to throw so hard OR if kids these days are throwing too many curveballs which creates long term problems.
I see little leaguers throwing curveballs at age 9/10 these days. I've read doctors reports that state the curve ball isn't good to throw until your arm is done growing and even then, it's bad for your arm if not thrown properly.
This Harvey situation reminds me a lot of Mark Prior and Kerry Wood. I hope he's able to make it back. Sad indeed.
