    BetUs won't stop calling me!

Kev - how can I go about getting BetUs to stop calling me begging for a deposit? Any advice would be much appreciated.

They did the same thing to me before... I tried to deposit and it didn't go through, so they were calling me to deposit over the phone. Seriously called me like 8 times in a one hour span (I kept ignoring the call). When i finally picked up I just told them I deposited elsewhere and they stopped

Funny I should pop in the GD forum (where I never really go) and I see this.

I signed up there a year or two back but never deposited. Then a few days later some guy that sounded like he was straight outta the mob called a few times and left messages on the machine. So when I finally answered and told him to stop calling he got pissed and tried to blame ME for the calls, because I signed up for the account there, amongst other things.

All I asked was that he stop calling and told him that I wasn't interested in depositing there, but he wouldn't take no for an answer....just kept trying to get me to deposit, even AFTER I told him I had no interest in doing so and asked him to stop calling....kind of reminded me of like some idiot drunk guy at a bar that keeps trying to pick up the same chick even though she told him to fuk off like 5 times already lol.

Finally I just hung up on him and he actually never did call back.

He was one obnoxious and arrogant SOB though, and if there was ever a chance that I was going to deposit there, after that conversation any chance there might have been dropped squarely to zero.

That's actually really bad practice to call your clientele like that. An email is fine, but to leave constant messages can cause plenty of personal problems. Spouse may not like you gambling again, taking these types of calls during work, etc.

I don't play online but if I ever do it definitely won't be with these guys...

          Yikes, that's not good.

I'd either call and cancel my account or call customer service and have them make a note on your account not to give you any sales calls.

Well, this gets even worse. I couldn't believe this, but suppose us US betters face this problem...they must be seeing less and less deposits.

So I took Kevin's advice and called them and said to put a note on my account - do not call me, I'll deposit when I'm feeling the need to do so.

What was the response? "You know sir, we have your SS#, your date of birth, your address and your phone number." I asked them to read back to me my SS#, and sure as ****, they had it.

Now if this isn't a wake up call, I don't know what is.

Edit - oh, they have stopped calling (4 days now), but I probably exist on 4 of the 7 continents since my phone call.

I hardly use betus anymore they give so much hassel to withdraw funds.. fax in id's fill out forms etc etc...

I use bookmaker now as my primary book, i have never had an issue with deposit or withdrawal (knocks on wood) but when i click payout i select check in mail, 3-5 days later i got a check, no forms no bs... they have been far the best customer service book i have dealt with to date..

5dimes was my main book for all the betting options, but i cant use them anymore since they no longer accept card deposits... :eyz:

Agreed, I love bookmaker and 5dimes and have never had problems with either of them. Betus always sends me junk in the mail and one of the more recent books I used (can't think of it right now) keeps calling.

A few months back I was able to use my visa credit card on 5dimes.

That's terrible (about Bet US). My personal opinion of them is very, very low. Worst of any book i've ever encountered.

But my real reason for replying here again is because I too was looking into using 5 Dimes just last week, but couldn't really find an acceptable way to deposit funds. I was given 2 options and both seemed like more of a pain in the ass than they're worth.

SIA and Sportsbook.com allow easy deposits with my VISA card which draws the money straight from my bank account, and w/d's via paper check have always been a non hassle except once from SIA when they delayed the withdrawal due to some "routine account check" and didn't notify me. I did however receive the money, so while I found it weird what they did/told me, I did get paid.

I want a book with reduced juice though, and I know 5 Dimes offers that. Bet Jamaica has good baseball lines too, but same issue there.....all the deposit methods are funky. I mean I'd rather avoid making accounts with 3 different "handlers" of my money or whatever before it actually gets where it's going, going to Western Union and sending money to some guy named Dung Hung Po in the Phillippines, or whatever other forms of nonsense most of these books make you go through.

Any suggestions of either a half normal way to get money in either 5 Dimes or Bet Jamaica, or a different book with reduced juice/true 10 cent baseball lines (more than just up to -130 or something) that will accept my VISA card or a direct transfer from my bank acct?

                  Thanks

Not to sound like an ass here, but why in the flipping f'en f*** can't our legislators get over themselves and open up sports betting to Americans?

I just don't get it. Someone needs to run for office with this as their sole hidden agenda. Damn, this is frustrating!

your location says u are in vegas, and ur name is nevada jay so technically you shouldnt need an online sportsbook, u live in the greatest city in all of the world... What i mean by greatest is, its the one true city where u actually are a free man... I cant wait to make my move permanent there... this back and forth is killin me...

ya about 5 dimes.. i cant agree more if they would go back to e-checks or visa, than i would drop all my other books and just use them, they paid out with paper checks like bookmaker and they have more betting options than any other book i have seen.... i used to player prop bet there on mlb games.. player vs player total bases ... was a good way to make some dough and enjoy the game a lil more... batter pitcher matchups to a whole new level...

                          Dukiesbaby -

One thing to consider...the sports I like to play aren't offered in any casino in Vegas. So I have to rely on the online books.

I hope that username of yours is related to the B'devils...gotta love Coach K and how he recruits year after year after year!

I still can't believe the law was changed under Bush...haven't quite figured out why that was allowed to happen in the midnight hour. I don't think we have a chance in hell with Obama in office.

Is that thru Neteller or just actually by doing a visa transaction? When I saw your post yesterday I tried depositing at 5 dimes by selecting visa under credit card deposit but after I entered my info it directed me to a page that wanted me to sign up for Neteller, which of course I didn't because doing a 3rd party transaction is exactly what I'm trying to avoid. Ugh

a Tennessee senator tacked it into another bill that was pretty much guaranteed to pass (some transportation bill), as you said at the midnight hour.

from what I remember, people already voted to pass this transportation bill, so most went home, and they were just making minor adjustments when he sneaked his POS bill to piggyback on this main one that was already going through.

                              - still makes me mad thinking about the shady ass underhand shyt that goes on in Washington.

anyways I read a couple months back that NJ passed a state law allowing online gambling (both sports and poker I think). Doesn't mean much other than if other states see NJ's example, maybe they will pass their own laws similarly.
