    Anyone From Miami?

I'll be in Miami from the 17th to the 21st for a convention.
I've never been to Miami, let alone Florida.

Any tips of what to do from people who live there, or have been there?

I will be on South Beach, but I'm not really a partier. I don't even drink. Any spots, casinos, non-trashy girls, etc.

    Let me know whats up!

Pally, you just mentioned South Beach, non-trashy girls and no drinking! You might want to check out some of the parks or a nice museum! LOL!

It's my experince that even the packets of Splenda have heavy traces of coke in it! LOL!

I went there in July 2001. I'm not bilingual but I know the basics of Spanish. I remember having a pretty difficult time there, but managed. My dad who was with me on that trip, and was completely out of his element though (no Spanish at all). We probably just didn't go to the right places. That was a long time ago though and I was in HS then so I'm sure it would be better now. I thought the beach was pretty solid and I enjoyed the humidity and palm trees and what not.

Just curious, what is your other language?

I took 4 years of Spanish Jr. High and HS but can barely speak it.
I can speak Farsi, and a little bit of Japanese.

                  Completely over-hyped.

I doubt anyone cares so I wont talk about the trip that much but Miami is a joke.

I'd like to hear about the trip. Why a joke?

There is nothing out there. South Beach is literally about a couple miles long.

The people who over hype it are spring breakers from places like the University Of Nebraska, or people who were born and raised on Utah. They come to South Beach and are like wow!!!

So Cal beaches **** on Miami beaches all day long.
The clubs out here are full of clowns, these people think they are the **** out there, its a joke.

The chicks aren't fine, unless you are into all that mamacita papichulo flavor. I personally dont like it, so I was over it. I could have gotten some cuban and colombian girls out there, but I passed everytime. They were just dirty to me.

People are rude as hell, think they are the hardest thing alive, and have no common sense.

The last night we got these 2 girls to go with us just so we can get in the club without waiting in line, ended up ditching them, then a bouncer pushed my friend and so my friend slammed him on his head. As soon as I got there (10 ft away) about 4 cops (literally) jumped in.

It was just a weekend of fights, close fights, trashy girls, and thats about it.

                      Miami sucks ass...

                          verified,

thanks for the heads up. I sort of had this perception about miami already and you are saving me the trip! I'd much rather go to key west or cocoa beach if i make it down to florida.
