    The Job and Urine Tests

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS, doing drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check ! ? Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though . . . Something has to change in this country -- and soon!

That's a pretty good point that I had never thought of.

Billy I dont know about your state but here in WV if you have ever been convicted of a drug crime you can not and will not ever be able to get food stamps or a welfare check. However a drug test would be great. Now the kids can still get food stamps and medical card by convicted drug person can not.

Hey man, that should take effect imdiatly (Ya'll know dam well I cain't spell imdiatly). When I lived in Atlanta, they would sell their food stamps for fitty cents on the dollar to get crack. And you didn't have to be a drug dealer to get em. They would walk up to you on the street and try to sell them to ya. And the myth that afro americans are the biggest recpients of welfare is not true. I don't know about per cappa. Food stamps are the biggest sham amongst crack heads. Welfare checks are another story, but food stamps are easy to come by. They are easy to come by as going to a church for food. Just that easy.

And another thing, go to a food stamp recipient two days after they recieve food stamps and there ain't a lick a food in the house and they and got no stamps left. sneak up on em two days after they get their stamps and drug test them.

Totally agree on this issue Billy, and not just because you are a fellow Giants fan! Seinfeld make a mockery of the unemployment system when George made up the company names and addresses where he looked for work.....George wanted to work in latex I think.....
