I dont know if this is a good resolution or not. I dont want to stop gambling, but I want less action. It gets really old playing everyday, couple here, couple there, units here, juiced there. I just dont see the point in it. Plus I dont even get the feeling anymore.

So I think I am going to play maybe a game a month, or maybe two a month, and just wager what I would have wagered if I were playing a couple everyday throughout that time span...and just go big on a game. That way I can watch the game and feel the action. Im not betting the house or anything, but at the same time its gotta be something of which winning or losing will make "some" sort of a difference. Or its not even considered gambling. Other than that, it is getting pretty mundane.

So I dont know if its a good one or not, but Im doing it.

Setup a system and find a reason Not to bet a game...

It doesn't hurt to lay off and win, it only hurts to take action and lose!

For those trying to quit smoking, ask your Dr. about Chantix. Disclaimer: There are recent warnings issued by the FDA regarding suicidal ideation related to this med, but there are a great, great number of success stories as well. Due diligence. (I'm an RN (not practicing right now) and would recommend Chantix to anyone who asked, as long as they have a support system in place).

            No resolutions, but 2 goals.

            Save $40k this year.
Lose 4 inches off the waist. Don't care how much 'weight' that is. Just the waist size.

why is it, evertime there is a drug to cure a problem, there always seems to be worse, possible side effects???????

              :boog:

and every drug to cure, does not mix with alcohol....

              :drunk:

drugs that supposedly cure, can be sold to the public, until multiple complications or even deaths occur...

I don't understand this either. I think I would rather smoke than have sucidal thoughts LoL.

I smoked for 12 years, & was a pack a day smoker for the last 4 or so. Just over a year ago I quit cold turkey, & though it was rough for a bit, I made it through. I had tried before but never had any success, I think mostly because I didn't really want to. Now the green stuff, that's another story :beer2:

started when I was 18 (many moons ago), quit cold turkey 3 months before I went into the corps, and started smokin' again, after bc.... Now I can go many hours without lightin' up, and I can also light up many times in an hour... Mind over matter!!!! :beer2:

This is my 4th attempt at quitting. Ive done a year, a year, 3 months, and here I am again. Each time was cold turkey.

This is the ONLY time I have quit without something supplement it with (alcohol, dope, etc). So Im captain sober over here.

I've chewed about 300 toothpicks so far though. Ha..

Its not that, I have always played for the action/feeling. I never cared about the money. Just like anything, you build a tolerance. Recently I dont get the feeling unless I bet money that will effect me, win or lose. So it's getting a little "unsafe". Havent played for 3 days now, not a big deal...

take the pill and stop smoking, however due to the side effects, there is a chance you may take a leap from a bridge, or pop a cap in your head.... you can rule out cancer, as the cause of death... :drunk:

Phil's Bother in law just got out of the hospital. I wasn't going to make a resolution this year cause it was going to be another lie. They told him he keeps drinking, he dies. I jus gave this mthrfkr a half gallon of Bacardi. So's he says, we ain't gonna have much fun on Sunday anymore. I says, give me that half gallon and when its finished, I'll quit drankin'. I've been lookin' for a reason to quit drinkin' for along time. I actully just needed a good reason instead of of new years resolution. And its true, I ain't much fun since since I quit drinkin'. $20 says I finish this half gallon and call it quits. Uncle Monte sed dat no less.

Sorry to hear about what happened to Your Brother-in-law. Tell him he can do it. You can do it too. You tell him he's got to get better, because I will be mad as hell if he breaks our siteseeing trip in Vegas this year. I did not forget. You know couple weeks ago when that guy drank those pints at the airport; I thought of him when that guy stole his bottle at check-in. LOL. Then I remember what your response was when the guy took it. Damn if I'd of known he was going to take it I would have chugged it.

Queen, it was funny, the guy grabbed the bag after it came out of the xray, openned his bag, took the bottle and shoved his bag to him and didn't say anything.
