Who picked that "nostalgic" place anyway? :blackeye:

I hope all the grouchy old smelly dealers and longstick went down with it!

Hey, hey, hey - easy guys. You have to realize that all of the 'good old day's of Las Vegas are being imploded with the Stardust.

No longer can you get the cheap rooms and dinners if you're gamblin'. Now, $300 a night is the norm.....that, my friends, is what is wrong with the new and evolving Las Vegas. I hope you see this too.

I hate it. Give me a free meal and a show (without having to put $5k into a machine) - that's what Las Vegas used to be.

Today? ****, Paris Hilton and all the punks have driven up the cost of every single thing in Las Vegas...The good old days are over.....and I'm pissed.

Am I the only one that hates the idea of paying $300/night????? WTF?

might be all the celebrities and b-listers that done this price hike, but its not all.

inflation (blaming it on high gas prices), the fact that its so accessible, I mean the weekend we went, Vegas was paaacked and it wasnt on a holiday, bigtime sporting event or nothing.

and because its become cool, everyone wants to do it., so crowds bring more casinos, and more crowds make for more $$

I agree, bring back the $1.99 steak and egg specials. We are talking about the trip we made last September when all of the Stardust dealers were old and grouchy. I remember my first trips to Vegas, $20 was more than enough to eat for the week. It was kind of funny, some of my buddies would eat at McDonalds and pay more than I would for a prime rib dinner!

Is Bally's still there too? I haven't been there for about 15 years or so and it was a dump back then and hopefully has gone the way of the Stardust....the Rat Pack probably hanged out there too....
