He basically said that Vegas is scared of him, they change lines because of him, and that he will double your bankroll in a year. More or less.

I enjoyed the show personally. Not something I'll be TiVo'ing or staying home to watch, but I thought all the stories were good. If you didn't tear up a bit watching the UNC mascot's story then you are a heartless bastard. The Miami Northwestern sex scandal was a good story too. I thought the Prince and Cecil Fielder story was bit pointless without getting Prince's side of the story in there, but they at least pointed out that that was a flaw. Seems to me Cecil is leaving out some VERY important details.

As for Dr Bob. He claims to be hitting at 64% over 3 years or something and that the Vegas books change their numbers as soon as he posts his plays. Good for him if he's that good, who knows... The one oddsmaker basically gave him props by admitting that they have altered things in an attempt to offsets this Dr Bob guy.

I think the main reason that Dr. Bob's picks change lines at times is because he has so many clients. He hit like 80% for a short period in the NFL and EVERYBODY jumped on his picks, wagering huge amounts on his side, so the books move the line before these people can put their money in so as to give themselves a better chance to win a large amount from one group. I've seen his picks, you can find them at any site that posts service plays(some of those services are HILARIOUS BAD) and they are nothing special. He hits right around 50%.

Kevin, if you want to watch it I can email the link to you. I was going to post it here but couldn't figure out how to do it.

ESPN took his claim of 64% out of context. He was listing various subsets of wins, and since that sounded the best they clipped everything else out.

"Dr. Bob's best bets are hitting about 20% instead of the 60% in years past. Dr. Bob has been approached by a huge Vegas gambler that paid him a tremendous amount of money to release the wrong side of his Best Bets to his clients. In turn the line would change 1-4 points, and then this Vegas gambler and Dr. Bob could bet the other side, the correct side that Dr. Bob would normally release to his clients in the past, and get the better line."
