    Wow

Looking at football lines for over 25 years and I dont think I have ever seen ND get so many points before.

    Sat 9/8 355 Notre Dame +18 -111 +760
    03:00 PM 356 Penn State -18 +101 -1020

Oh im not touching the game with a 10 foot pole but really I think this is a first in ND history. I dont keep up much on them anymore, but they must really suck. Use to be an elite team now they must be in the crapper. I know teams go up and down over time but there was a time when the best of the best went to ND.

This is too many points, IMO. Penn State blasted a team that has lost 9000 in a row and ND looked bad.

I am leaning to ND, if I can swallow it...

I was just saying the same thing.

When was the last time ND was getting that many points.

They need to put Clausen in and just let him learn this year.

I dunno, GT just beat ND by 30 on their own turf.... I would have a hard time playing the Irish away vs that PSU D.

            Can ND recover

AS of now, I think not, but may stay away from game w/that line. And I am a PSU diehard. It may be a small play just to keep my interest. Still early in week. :dunno:

Crazy thing is I could have swore I saw it open at 11, but a minute later it was 14. Everywhere I look now is saying it opened at 14? I wish I would have jumped on it, if only for a shot at a middle...

Willingham's ND was a 13.5 pt dog to Meeeeeechigan in game two of 2004. They had just lost to BYU and had 11 yds rushing in that game. 11 punts. BYU lost the next 3 games and won only 5 all year....

ND beat Michigan 28-20. ND only won 6 in 2004. Michigan did not lose again until the Ohio State game.

All I am saying is be careful. This game is on the road but 18 points is a LOT. Penn State could win 42-0 but I think laying 18 is a bad move...

Nothing personal against you, but this is a really dumbass post. Why will they beat ND by 5 TD? You willing to give somebody 35 points?

Penn State beat nobody in the Big Ten last year by more than 26 (NW). They beat Akron by 18.

It could happen.... but I doubt it.

Not saying PSU wins by 35, but this appears to be a different team from last year, and ND certainly appears to have started a possible really bad year. One thing is for sure, Happy Valley will be rockin, especially with the 6PM start. Security may have their hands full up there this weekend!! :glass:

Clausen now named the starter for this one so we shall see - not sure yet if that is a good thing or bad thing for ND (short term - this game -- not long term).

IMO this line is a joke. Penn St played a nobody last game, and ND played a very good GT team. IMO Clausen starting is a good thing, Jones was a joke all he wanted to do was run. Also MParris brother looked good at WR and if they get a QB that can get him the ball it should help the offense. The defense looked much better. I am waiting to see how high the line goes.

Well I think it is going to be a total bloodbath so why say they are going to win by just three touchdowns and cover the spread? You cant compare what Penn St did last season, this is a much, much better team than last year. Morrelli has another year of experience, the defense is more dominant, the offensive line played better than I expected on Saturday.

Notre Dame SUCKS this season and they are going to have a freshman quarterback coming into a wild atmosphere of Beaver Stadium on a Saturday night. I am not sure if you have ever been to Beaver Stadium to see a game but it aint easy to come in there and win when your not good.

I doubt ND scores more than a touchdown on us. Their horrible offense is going to get shut down the entire game.

I dont know what else I can say, I just dont see this game being very close, whether it means we win by 21 or 35, Penn St is clearly the better team.

Revenge is sweet, after ND whipped us last year, we are going to do the same by a much worse score.
