Tonight's Kent State vs. Buffalo Game Postponed
For Immediate Release -- Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Tonight's MAC Football game between Kent State and Buffalo has been postponed due to extreme weather conditions in the Buffalo, N.Y. area. The game between the two MAC East Division opponents was originally scheduled to kickoff at 8 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

Officials will reconvene tomorrow morning to explore playing the game on Thursday or on an alternative date.

Further details concerning when the game will be rescheduled will be provided when available.


KSU actually made the bus trip with is about 3.5 hours and it took them 11 hours to get there today.....and now the game is cancelled! :bang:

From the story I got, UB didn't cancel the game since the campus is above the snowbelt and only had 4-5 inches of snow. So, in order to avoid the huge 6-7 foot of accumulation in greater Buffalo, KSU's 3 buses went south, then east of Buffalo, then north and back south to avoid the snow. The detour was 180 miles out of the way, but the snow got more intense today and UB's field got another 7-8 inches with the expectation of more and the game was cancelled. They risked lots of lives trying to get in a scheduled game for two meaningless teams. SMH

Saw a pic of the Bills stadium and they are looking for people who want to clear snow and are going to pay them $10 hr to help shovel ..... they will need hundreds of people!!!!
