Week 10: 11 - 11

Last week very average at best! Lets get this week kicked off with one of two midweek MAC match ups that could very well help decide the West Division champ. Love college football on the tube during the week.
TUESDAY -
Ball State at Toledo
Tuesday, November 6, 2012 • 8:00 pm ET / ESPN2
Series: Toledo leads 19-17-1
Ball State won @ Army 30-22 last week, as QB Keith Wenning completed his 50th career touchdown pass with 11:50 left in the first quarter. He now has 17 touchdown passes this season, tied for sixth on the Ball State single season list while WR Jamill Smith had his seventh career touchdown reception which also marked his fourth in the last six games. Toledo won @ Buffalo 25-20 on Oct. 27 as the Rockets gained 412 yards of total offense, 297 of which came in the second half as junior RB David Fluellen rushed for 228 yards and two TDs and passed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career. He now has 1,181 yards on the season, the ninth-highest total for a Rocket in a season. When these two get together they always play it close.
In the head-to-head versus common opponents this year (CMU,WMU,EMU), both teams are 3-0 with Ball State outscoring their opponents 108-80 and Toledo outscoring the same foes 139-99. Worth a mention is that Toledo played two of those three games on the road winning the toughest match up at WMU 37-17, while the Cardinals played WMU at home and won 30-24 in the waning seconds of that game.
Even though both are bowl eligible, I think Toledo has more to play for. The Rockets are 5-0 in the MAC West Division right behind Northern Illinois (who stands at 6-0 and won at Ball State 35-23) and they meet head-to-head next week in Dekalb. UT then finishes out the season versus the lowly Akron Zips at home. This is the last West Division meetup for the 3-2 Cardinals this season who finish the season at home versus Ohio and then on the road at Miami,OH, so they are virtually rubbing the magic lamp to get to the MAC Championship game. This game could either be a big Rockets blowout, or very close but I will side with the team who has much more to play for.
