    Week #6 NcaaF Discussion Thread

Not sure if anyone has had time for this or not but thought i would start a thread... its been a while since ive been on here but i have been peaking in when i find some time (the little that i have lately)

    First the underdogs:

    Florida +3
I'm not in love with the Florida gators, but i am not a believer of these lsu tigers, Sure they had a blow out win vs the washington huskies, but 4 of their 5 games thus far have been home games thei 1 sec game on the road they struggled to score points vs auburun... a 12-10 final, Florida imo has a stronger all around defense than auburn, and can also generate more offense, plus playing in the Swamp... these games between these 2 schools usually ends really close, based on what i have seen this year i like florida's speed to make the difference here at home and pull out a win... for some reason im kinda leaning to the over also....

    WVU +6.5
IMO Texas is the Most Overrated team in the top 15, Big School Big Name, Kinda like USC Trojans they are always ranked high and like this year, they are not gonna live up to the hype, moving on... WVU may not be able to play defense, but their offense should be good enough to keep this game close enough, getting 6.5 with probably the 3rd best offense in the country it should be a no brainer right?

    Arizona +12
τΏτ <---- this is me shocked Standford has struggled under this coaching staff last few years vs the spread offense, Oregon has slapped massive points on standford last 3 years under chip kelly and the spread offense 53 / 52/ 42.. chip kellys spread offense is not much different than Rich Rodriguez coaching arizona, i think this is a bad matchup for standfords defense, with that being said, i do like standford to put up a better offensive showing than last week in washington... my play would be Arizona with the points and the over, also maybe a small play on the moneyline, lots of value imo based on matchups

    Georgia +2.5
I think both south carolina & georgia have high level defenses, i do believe south carolina is a tough place to play, but when i look at this match up i see offense vs defense, whats the biggest key? the quarterback, i believe georgia has a huge advantage when it comes to the leader of these offenses... Murray is head & shoulders a better option to have going into probably the biggest game of the week... only worry i have is which georgia is gonna show up? the georgia from the outback bowl, who even though lost played a solid game and probably should have won it... or the georgia who just got destroyed in the sec championship game??? based on the kinda game they put forth in missouri earlier, i think this team is ready, this is south carolina's first big game of this year.. they did play missouri but that was at home not on the road.. this georgia team is different offense than missouri.. i think georgia will score points and if i am not mistaken, if this is a fg fest of a game, georgia always recruits the best of kickers...

    Cal +2

Cal is one of the most intimidating places to play, the hills the extend up past the top of the stadium full of fans spread out on a Saturday picnic in blue and gold lol... ucla does have a beast of a running back but the inconsistent play of the QB has got me worried. also poor cal has had probably one of the toughest schedules outside of Arizona in pac 12 play.. they just played @ Ohio state @ USC & vs ASU.. Cal put up a fight in the first 2 games.. and UCLA's level of talent is less then those of the previous 3 opponents.. i expect Cal to show up big this game and Take UCLA straight up... Maynard is due for a big game, i think it comes this week to the not so good ucla secondary

    For some Favorites

    BYU -7
not much to say about this game, this is just one of those games where i think people give to much respect to Utah State's success thus far, they basically beat Wisconsin for 3.5 quarters before losing that game, they beat Utah for the first time in 15 years... yea so what.. Wisconsin is on a down year, BYU friday night in the spotlight is gonna be a tough place to play... utah state beat utah, utah beat BYU and BYU is 7 point fav... atleast the books somewhat agree BYU is the better team here..

    ND -13
ND is for real, wait.... did i just say that:conf:, yep i did ND is for real.. and they might be a contender, Defense is looking good, offense not too shabby either... miami gives up points, ND doesn't give up points, this spread could be an easy cover by halftime if its -6 or -7 i might bite...

Looking at the Board every year we get that "upset weekend" i have a feeling that this weekend is the "Upset weekend" in college football more and more games i look at i like the points...

IMO teams on potential Upset Alert this weekend

    USC
    Clemson
    South Carolina
    Texas
    Wisconsin
    UCLA
    Standford
    Oklahoma
    LSU
    Ohio State
    maybe even my ND pick*

      purdue +3

michigan is really a mediocre team and its apparent that denard will continue to turn it over. purdue has a decent defense and has a shot at the big 10 title. I dont think michigan gets this done on the road.

its hard not to like boston college -10 @ army too. Army is dreadful. They can put up some points at time, but man what a horrible defense. They lost to stony brook last week. Not that dwelling on the previous week is the best idea, but BC has enough firepower to get this done.
