Can anyone explain to me what he was thinking by not calling a single time out? Was he not looking at the clock when NIU had back to back penalties and an ENTIRE minute came off the clock? What gave him the confidence that his beyond atrocious defense would stop NIU from scoring there? I lost a small tease on this since I had Toledo straight up--the money isn't the problem, it's the blatant ignorance of his job. He had 3 full time outs. I cannot fathom what just happened. Zero excuses.

NIU gets a first and goal at the 3 yard line with 2:12 on the clock. Toledo has 3 time outs and is up by 4. No time out. Delay of game by NIU puts it at the 8 and takes 40 seconds off the clock. Play clock to 25 seconds, game clock still running. No time outs called. False start on NIU puts it at the 13, clock continuing to run. No time outs called. This would've been a perfect time for Toledo to call a time out and settle the troops. Nothing. Don't give me any BS excuse that they didn't want NIU to call an elaborate play because their QB was just running all over them. Next play, QB runs to the 4. 2nd and goal, 45 seconds on the clock. No time out. Next play TD pass, 19 seconds left on the clock.
