    NCAAF Week 9

    YTD: 58-56 (-4.8 units)

7-4 last week but lost a couple 2 unit plays.

    Rice +29
    Central Michigan -7.5
    Tulane +17.5
    Iowa State +16.5
    UCF -28.5
    Oklahoma -13.5
(5 units) - this is POY material. KSt should not be 7-0 right now IMO and should be 3-4 or 4-3 at best. This is just as much a fade of KSt as it is a play on OU. KSt comes in severely overrated (how many 7-0 teams with a higher BCS ranking are two TD dogs at home?) and the fact that OU lost last week only makes the situation that much better. Normally when I go out on a limb like this I eat my words, but this game screams blowout.

    GL this weekend
    2010 NCAAF: 10-5 (+4.5 units)
    2010 NFL: 18-5 (+12.6 units)

    2011 MLB: 33-50 (-10.34 units)

Hate you to use POY in any post, but good luck. I think you're on the right side, esp with that line under 14.

        Thx Joe, GL this weekend.

AK - I don't necessarily like to use it either, but its one of the plays I feel strongest about. You won't see me throwing around locks or guarantees because I've lost enough to know there aren't any. It reminds me of a similar situation last year when OU lost to A&M in college station while TTU beat a ranked Missou and then TTU traveled to OU the following week and ended up losing by about 40. I can see something similar happening here. GL on your plays this weekend.

Thanks Polar. I wasn't warning you or talking any smack... just in my experience of my own bets are if I weight them or think too much about them, I end up breaking even at worst. Not ideal. Anyway, I think you're right about Oklahoma as Vegas seriously thinks this is going to be a one-sided game. I'll likely be on the same side!

Best of luck on your Rice play tonight. I just don't have the balls to go with the Rice vs Keenum.

No worries AK, I didn't think you were talking smack - I just wanted to clarify so I don't come off like a know it all blowhard. Plus work has been slow today so I've had some time to f around.

As for tonight, I think houston has had a couple blowouts that were closer than the score indicated giving the line some value.

I may end up on virginia as well but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Polar, I hear you on the POY material and going to on a limb and then it not coming in experience. I was like that last week touting some team (no need to mention that team):laughing:

I hope you do better than I did!!!!!!!!

              Good Luck!

I was the same way with the Vikings last week... NO way they could cover against the Packers, and voila! It happens.

                    Good luck this weekend bud.

Thx wickler, Daws, Q, and AK. Hey, if it loses I'll just make a Play of the Decade next week to recoup.

                      Illinois +5.5

GL. I don't know if I would call Oklahoma POY material. Oklahoma has not looked strong to me this year. Looked shaky against FSU and Mizzou. Looked bad against Kansas. Bad last week. I think they'll win, but 13.5 on the road is a big number. I've watched K-State a lot this year and they are pretty solid, and you don't know what kind of mental reaction OU will have to their loss last week. But best of luck.

I'm big on Oklahoma State this week simply because I can see them putting 70 on Baylor. Outside of LSU and Bama, I don't know if there's a defense in the country that can slow down that receiving corps in Stillwater. They are scary good.
