    ATS Records for Top 7

    Alabama 5-1
    LSU 4-2
    Oklahoma 4-1
    Boise State 3-2
    Wisconsin 4-0-1
    Oklahoma State 4-1
    Stanford 5-0

    Total: 29-7-1

Obviously the top teams are going to cover their fair share of games or they wouldn't be at the top of the polls, but all seven of these teams started in the top ten so I would think Vegas would have a little better grasp on line setting with public teams. That being said I'd think Vegas will need to correct this sooner or later or they'll get slaughtered this year in CFB.

great stats hodown. I agree, books probably taking a good beating and look for maybe some of those really big spreads may cash for the dogs. We'll have to keep an eye on it and discuss.

      Wisconsin -40
      OK St -7 or -8
      LSU -18.5
      Boise -33
      Alabama -28
      Oklahoma -37

lines all seem to be inflated, maybe because they are at Bodog, but there has to be some value here.

Two times in a row I've posted and ran out of time. Annoying. Anyhow, 34-8-1 so far, that's a joke. Paraphrasing what I wrote earlier, no way I can consider the following dogs:

          Mizzou +7 vs Okie St

          Tech +29 @ OU

          Tenn +29 @ Bama

          Will be considering the following:

          MSU +9 vs Wisky

          Washington +20.5 @ Stanford

          Auburn +23 @ LSU

Mizzou has fight but Pinkel is uninspiring and they've beaten no one so far. Tech will need to score 30 to cover that. Can't make the Tenn line high enough for me to consider them. Wisky has played no one and MSU is stout on defense and balanced on offense, that is a generous line. Ditto Stanford, Washington will bring the best offense they've seen by a decent margin. Auburn's defense is sh*t but LSU will play them straight forward offensively with minimal aerial threats which should help Auburn. Furthermore they have an adequate shot at controlling the ball with a power run game, unlike WV, Oregon, or Fla. Auburn most closely represents Miss St, the one team that gave LSU some issues earlier this season.

I think this is the week that Vegas finally caught up.

I think that Mizz has the ability to keep it within the 7 points and think that Ok St will only win by 4.

Oklahoma will win and will win by alot but I think 29 is too much. Oklahoma by 3 TD's

Alabama I think has a good chance to cover this game. The only thing of concern is the looming next game with LSU...I know that it is 2 weeks away but when Bama is up by 4 TD's in the 3rd or 4th Quarter I wonder if they will lose concentration and start looking ahead.

Seems that Stanford is always favored by 20.5. I do like Stanford and think that they will cover this game.

LSU will win this game by 17. Auburn is too tough and will hang for awhile. As with Bama I wonder how their focus will be late once game is in hand....

I absolutely think that the line with Wisky is whacked. I understand our issues on the road (and at home with Mich St last year) in the past but this is a different year. I am one to take trends very seriously, but also have learned that sometimes there are just factors that make trends irrelevant. This is one of those situations. Wisky never had a QB with the caliber of Wilson to bring complete balance to their offense. We have always had some good servicable Qb's that could get the job done.

Mich St does have a very good defense and they did shut down their state rivals and Robinson. However, as exciting as Robinson is he is no Wilson. Wilson is so much more accurate and is surrounded by a better O line and a way better running game. I think this game could be close for a half but in the end Wisky will win this game by 20. The only real concern is that Nick Toon is banged up but he is listed as probably and will play.

            Man i sound like a homer:laughing:

Don't get me wrong, Wisconsin is the class of the B1G, but are they really 9 points better than the second best team in the conference on the road? Nebraska is the only half way competent team they've faced, and even they gave up 27 thru 3 quarters to an anemic OSU offense. What I will give you is that Wisconsin has been totally untested so it's tough to gauge how good they really are. But if they win this game by 20 they're going to win every game by 20+, and MSU possesses a vastly superior defense to Anything Wisconsin has seen thus far. To add on I thought Tolzien was pretty competent, he just didn't possess Wilson's wheels.

Saying they are the class of the BIG 10 isnt really saying much unfortunately. I have always thought that the BIG 10 is overated and was proven correct over and over again when Ohio St, Wisconsin, and others would get embarrased in Bowl Games.

Tolzien, Bollinger were all very good servicable QB's. Both of them had some great receiving talent around them as well. However, Wilson is so much more accurate, has a bigger arm, expanded playbook, and more importantly he is a mobile QB that keeps is eyes down field and looks to pass before he takes off.

I know I am being a homer, but Mich St hasn't played anyone besides Notre Dame. Even Notre Dame was able to move the ball on them (and I dont think their offense is all that great). If you take away the Kickoff return ND was able to put up 24 points.

This is probably going to be Wisky's hardest test. I do not think Ohio St or Illinois will be much of a challenge and I do fully expect that Wisconsin will continue to roll and will win their remaining games by 20+.

On a side note was watching ESPN the other night and they brought up an interesting point. There is a very good chance that the SEC and Big 12 will play the national championship game with both teams being undefeated. Also, the Rose Bowl may have Wisc and Stanford as undfeated as well.....with the BCS agreement coming up for renewal....would this lead to the possibility of a playoff?

Sorry IM, dont mean to bash on the BIG Ten and Ohio States accomplisments....but really the SEC is in a class of its own. However, I am very excited for our future with the addition of Nebraska. I wouldnt have minded seeing Missouri added as well....I think that was a mistake not to add them.....unless of course ND comes along. I also hope that Ohio State can get things on track as well, it would be nice to have a stronger conference with 5-8 teams that are strong and more importantly percieved strong by the national media.

I appreciate the offer of trying to get tix but I have my daughter full time and she is just not old enough yet to do something like that. Maybe in a few years!

                      I would consider

Washington. They are getting better every week and I feel this is a program on it's way back.

They have been great since losing 41-0 to Stanford last year winning 9 of last 11 ball games. I see them as very MOTIVATED and EAGER and they have been getting great QB play lately. 20 is a good number IMO

I hear you that ESPN hypes some teams that shoudnt be hyped....but hell they are the media and that is just what they do.

I would point out that the second tier SEC Ark, Aub, Florida (better than people think) would be in contention for any other conference. Even teams like Georgia and MSU would probably make a run at most conference titles.

I am also sick of hearing about Texas, Ok St (good but not great), USC, Oregon, and Stanford.....all very good teams but not in the upper echelon of teams.

I am also sick of not really hearing anything about Wisconsin. I know that I am being a homer, but also realize that we are not an LSU or Bama, but I believe we would give Oklahoma and other teams a run for their money. If this Wisconsin team were Michigan or Ohio St we would constantly be mentioned as a legitimate contender.

Man, I am really setting myself up for a potential big fall this weekend:laughing:

                            Great stats Recovery

Love your ATS stats. I put it into mind when i did my 5 team parlay last week and hit for 10/1. Think i took Boise -32 stanford -20 alabama - 27.5 lsu to win and tulsa to win. Love it. Kinda iffy on the Wisconsin spread and lsu spread but definitly might play on the alabama and boise st.

                              "Will be considering the following:

                              MSU +9 vs Wisky

                              Washington +20.5 @ Stanford

                              Auburn +23 @ LSU"

I really like those picks . Wisky/Stanford have played NOBODY ! I'm very interested to see how those two perform vs good teams . MSU is solid I think +9 is value there . People might laugh since I called the Huskies a "good team" but they really are . Not stellar D but playing awesome offense behind this QB and Polk . I think Lucky and his boys will have their hands full there . I had made LSU -14 so I was inclined to take Auburn from the get go , Now I hear Mathieu and two other significant players will get suspended so I like it even more now .
Best Of Luck with your plays , I think they are good value W or L ...
