Picked up Steele's Mag today. I think it is the best out there for information on college football. His bragging about his past years performances gets a little old, but there is allot of stuff in this publication.

I just picked up my copy for some summer reading. Have you ever read his NFL book? I was thinking of trying to find a copy of that one but I don't think it is out yet.

Ya he does boast about the stuff he picks right but alot of the stuff he gets wrong, its like he never picked it in the first place... the only reason his book is the best is because no one else is willing to take the time to make a book for you to read,


ill give him credit for the off season additions and subtractions he gives you on teams, but as far as picking the winners of divisions, the ones he gets right are usually the no brainers u could have a any high school kid pick. his dark horse teams he only boasts about the ones he gets right, all the others, well they were just dark horses to begin with...




but with all that said i still get the book because outside of all the bantering in it there is useful information on some teams that dont get coverage by most websites... atleast until season starts...

You have to be kidding.

And Illinois in top 40 is another joke. I also think Penn State is highly overrated.

All these predictors pick the same teams (ex ND) in top 10.

And everyone picking Nebraska so highly in Big Ten is sure to make them flop. They have a questionable offense, in my opinion.

I got mine yesterday actually and just skimmed it. One section i think he picks Boise State for something as far as a sleeper type of pick...How hard is it to do that?

I do liker his underrated team picks of South Florida and East Carolina as I think they will have good value early on.
