    Turkey week

A great Thanksgiving wish to all my degenerate gambling friends:beerbang: Hope you and your family have a great day.

I feel a suckers bet for Temple fans, like this spot for the Redhawks. A strong showing and maybe even a win gives them a bowl shot. Great home dog with a rather large number. The last 3 games both teams are about even both offensively and on the defensive side.
As a small token of appreciation for its commitment and leadership, Director of Athletics BRAD BATES has announced that the RedHawk football team has invited Miami's faculty and staff to be its guest at Tuesday night's game against Temple.

"The game will be nationally televised and we want the stands full," said Bates. "Each faculty/staff member will be given the opportunity to receive four free tickets to cheer the RedHawks on to victory!" This is also the first home game for Miami since 10/23. The crowd will be into it.

    Miami +8(-110)....................1 unit.

Got your turkey half stuffed already with Temple.....GL Nicky and Happy Thanksgiving. Be safe traveling. I'm going with Kent this week, one last hurrah and after reading about the player's press conference, the guys have a new found love and respect for Doug Martin. Maybe that's the emotion they need......:beerbang:

Texas getting 3.5 @ home?? When was the last time we saw that?? I know it's a home game and the public is all over the Aggies but, maybe it's a couple of trends going for the Longhorns here. TXAM are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 Thu. games. Home team is 10-2 ATS in their last 12 meetings. I know the place will be packed and Texas HAS to have this win to get bowl eligible. I have no idea why I like 'em other than a gut feeling. Hook 'em........

        Horns +4(-120)..............1 unit.

Since head coach Doug Martin quit ( my best Rome imitation).EEeeeeerrrrrrr............resigned from the team, the Flashes have to feel pretty good about themselves. Martin, ''I want Kent State fans to know what a great group of assistant coaches we have here,'' Martin said in a prepared statement. ''The character of these men is unquestioned and the job that they've done is outstanding. I'd also like to thank the university for the opportunity to lead this team for the last seven years.''

Note they said prepared statement, wow! Dude there's the door, I could care less about being the longest tenured coach in the MAC. Martin, 47, has a record of 28-53 in seven seasons at KSU. He joined the staff in 2003 as the offensive coordinator under Dean Pees before being promoted to the 19th head coach in school history on March 1, 2004. Can't believe he lasted this long. Team happy he'll be gone but, let the beating commence.

        Ohio -3(-120).............2 units.

Your right Joe!! My bad. @ Kevin, I couldn't pull the trigger on that ML. Sure loved that game though.

Today's slate is a good one as I have my usual chili cook off for the OSU/Michigan game.

Any of Buckeye nation knows the true Nicky I would never do this but, that Wolverine 16.5 looks enticing............NOT!! The Bucks have been only giving up an average of 12 points a game. Imagine if the Badgers didn't get that 31 points in their victory earlier? The Wolverines have gone 0-8 ATS their last 8. Now, have they been close?? Yes. Are they playing OSU in the shoe?? Yes. Denard Robinson better have his running shoes laced up tight. Can't see this one close. May even have a play on the over even though that 63.5 is a big number for a Big Ten match-up.

                Bucks -16(-120)................1 unit.

                Mich/OSU O63(-120)...........1 unit.

Penn State only getting 1 @ home?? Wow, there is going to be a lot of action on Sparty IMO. Clearly the better team is Mich State and the Lions have covered their last 4 of 5. The one being the Bucks. Sparty is another tough team looking to take the Big Ten title outright (with some help). Ole Paterno may be coming back next year and could spark the troops but, call me a sucker I really like........

                Mich. State -1(-110)............1 unit.

                Syracuse -3(-120)...............1 unit.

                S. Florida/Mia O47(-110)........1 unit.

                Tennessee -3(-110)...............1 unit.

The Seminoles haven't won this match-up since 2003. This may be it.
                Florida St. -2(-110)...........1 unit.

Notre Dame have not beat the Trojans since 2001 and are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 meetings.
Irish are playing much better the last 2 games and USC defense does give up big plays and points.

                Irish +4(-110)............... 1 unit.

                LSU +4(-110).................1 unit.
