:hide:.....dude.....:hide:
wow did they have an unstuebenville like season.....just not a very good team i guess not to take anything from Dover.
Saw Coshocton got bombed last night (friday)...........Colerain will win the southern half of the state IMO.
And where are you going to be next weekend? Think i'm rolling back for the PSU game on Friday night and leaving early Sunday AM. I have no plans other than to maybe hit the old tailgate again.....I am the M'bah a'Flyers Fan !Comment

Steubenville too one dimensional relying on the Pierro brothers, they got stopped at the 2 yard line at the end of the game. Dover just made the big plays......
Will hit the tailgate also......Mike told me to come back down! IrishMike is supposed to be in town also. Can meet ya at the VC or the tailgate, I'm going to get there early enough to park in the same spot! Still need 3 tix for the game.Batman: "If you can't spend it, money's just a lot of worthless paper, isn't it?" :phew:Comment

Here's the local game story:
Dover stuns Steubenville
Tornadoes knock off Big Red in playoff opener

STEUBENVILLE – It was the Tornadoes' time.
After two competitive, disappointing losses to Steubenville in the 2006 and 2009 regional championship contests, Dover turned the tables on the Big Red with a 31-28 victory before a large crowd in the Division III regional football quarterfinal Saturday night.
Zach Rafter put the Tornadoes ahead to stay in this one, kicking a 27-yard field goal with 7:36 on the clock to break a 28-28 tie.
The Tornadoes had plenty of stars on the night.
Derik Swinderman hit 27 of 38 passes for 355 yards with three touchdowns. He also ran for a score.
Colton Zahner broke his own school record with 15 catches for 192 yards. He had two scores and converted a two-point attempt in the first half.
Dover’s defense also came up big late in the game when Keith Johnson and Dalton Ryan combined to stop Steubenville’s Anthony Pierro on a fourth-down run with just :58 seconds left on the clock.
The Tornadoes ran it out from there.
Dover will play Sheridan next Saturday at a site to be determined.
Dover took a 13-0 lead before Steubenville had an offensive possession, scoring on a Swinderman run and then a pass to Zahner.
In between, the Tornadoes recovered a pooch kick to regain possession of the ball.
It is Steubenville's first playoff loss at home since 2000.Batman: "If you can't spend it, money's just a lot of worthless paper, isn't it?" :phew:Comment
