    MP Week 9 CFB

Coming off a nice 3-0 week. :boom: Hoping to keep the momentum.

Just a small play tonight....will add more later in the week.

Boise St. vs. La. Tech UNDER 65 (1 unit) LOSS

Supposed to be about 40-45 degrees with rain most of the day and into the evening. It's a 5pm PST game, so should still be wet and windy (up to 15 mph gusts).

Boise should beat up this team pretty good, but don't think they're gonna go off for 60 like Oregon. I'm thinking like a 45-10 game.

    GL All!

Grapes and Coors, eh? Well I at least I hope it was the banquet beer, not the light crap. :beerbang:

Shoulda taken the +39 tonight, but the under looked good for 59 minutes except for the B.S. LaTech touchdown with 30 seconds left.

That's what I get for getting the Michigan State game to swing my way last week, I guess. :bang:

            Plays for Week 9:

Auburn -7 @ Ole Miss (1.5 units; bought 1pt) WIN

Cam Newton is just too hot right now. Ole Miss might keep it competitive, but not seeing them get within 10 pts.

Tulsa +9 @ Notre Dame (1.5 units) WIN

Terrible tragedy at ND this week when a student trainer was killed. Not to be callous, but its a distraction. The Irish are banged up still and Tulsa can move the ball. ND might win, but it won't be easy.

Navy -12.5 vs. Duke (2 units; bought 0.5pt) LOSS

Not a snowball's chance in hell Duke will stop Navy's rushing attack. Duke, meanwhile simply can't score consistently. After a slow start, the Middies are starting to look pretty good.

Utah -8.5 @ Air Force (2 units) LOSS

AF is a solid team, just not in the same class as TCU and Utah. TCU showed it has the horses to slow down AF's rushing attack and Utah probably was watching closely. Utah's offense is equally, if not more, potent than TCU. Because its in Colorado Springs I don't see a 30pt differential such as was the case with TCU, but two TDs should be no problem, IMO.

I'll maybe add one more later this week.

I'm also playing with a mathematical system that I created. I'm not going to go crazy and start playing all the games that it qualifies, but I'll use this weekend to see how it turns out. Interestingly the system pegged Boise a 28.8 favorite earlier in the week and the score ended up 49-20....:dunno: We'll see.

            GL everybody this weekend! :booz:

                      Adding:

Southern Miss -9.5 vs. UAB (2 units; bought 1pt) LOSS

Southern Miss is playing pretty good football offensively (averaging over 40ppg L3) and are the third ranked rush defense in the country. Their defense is pretty solid and it's going to take a big passing outing to beat them; such as was the case with ECU's 44-43 victory over the Golden Eagles. I don't think UAB has the firepower to put up those pts as they have struggled for the most part putting points on the board.

From a trend perspective, Southern Miss is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite of 8 or more points. In those 5 games they are averaging 41 ppg and allowing only 18 ppg.

I like Southern Miss in the neighborhood of 34-21.

Good Lord Utah...WTF was that? Gee, let's run lead dives 9 out of 10 plays and play football like its 1944. And let's make it interesting up 28-10 by not kicking field goals and allowing AF to score on consecutive 50+ yard plays in the fourth quarter. :puke:

Crappy week so far (2-4) so I'll try to cheer myself up with a rainbow...

                        Hawaii -14 (0.9 units; bought 2pts) WIN

                        Hawaii -300 1Q (0.5 unit) WIN

Two small plays on Hawaii salvaged an otherwise crappy day. 4-4 for the week and down 2.8 units when its all said and done. :blackeye:
