Harding's Hymes Huge in Upset Win

In week eight of the 1921 season, Harding defeated the Tigers 13-0 in the two schools' first ever meeting. The next year, however, Massillon Washington would get their revenge as they routed the Panthers, 48-6. Tonight's game marks the 75th meeting between these two programs. Massillon leads, 49-22-3.
The Tigers are coming off of a, 28-7, victory over Steubenville. Ohio State recruit Devin Smith caught two touchdowns passes (76, 36) in the win.
Harding's quarterback Mikhail Seawood has completed 55.3% of his passes including 9 touchdown tosses. Running back Demond Hymes has averaged 7.2 yards per tote this season.

Last week, the Tigers defeated state powerhouse Steubenville, 28-7, but tonight it was the Warren Harding Raiders that flexed their muscles, 20-6. Massillon (6-2) had won six straight. This marked the first win by the Raiders against the Tigers in four seasons.
On Warren Harding's opening drive of the game, Demond Hymes powered the team down the field. However, the Raiders were charged with three penalties with the ball inside of the red zone. Harding's kicker Moses Sosa was successful on a 33-yard field goal to give the Raiders a 3-0 lead. Late in the first quarter, Hymes ran 45-yards for the score to extend the Raiders' lead to 10-0.
Early in the second quarter, Moses Sosa kicked another field goal. This time from 37-yards away to secure a, 13-0, lead for the Raiders. As time expired in the first half, Massillon's Jacar Roberson caught a 22-yard touchdown pass to provide some momentum to his Tiger team heading into the intermission. Harding leads 13-6 (missed extra point). In the first half, Harding's Hymes gained 175 yards on 21 carries.
In the third quarter, Hymes runs 58-yards down to the one-yard line. Demond added another touchdown, this time from a yard out, to put the Raiders up 20-6. After the score, Hymes ran for 348 yards.
Massillon quarterback Kyle Kempt threw for 274 yards but the Tigers were limited to 37 yards running.
The Raiders (6-2) finish the season with two contests against Lake Erie Division rivals.
